Checked the oil, nothing was showing up on the dipstick and the way the dipstick is step up is that there is two marks, a red mark and a yellow mark 5inches up from that, so logically I figured the oil mark should be between there. I added oil until the residue showed my oil level a bit above the red mark. Then I drove my car around, and one block from my house, and the car dies. Turns out that theres a little notch below the red mark and it actually has some importance, thats were you gauge the oil! I over serviced my car with oil and at the least blew my catalytic converter, so I drained the oil and jump started it, nothing happened. Called my supervisor and he and another Sgt looked at my car. They jump started it again, got it running but there was a whole lot of of white smoke comming out the back. So I drove it around; the check engine light goes out and the car seems fine! Sad thing is Im a AGE mechanic for the USAF and I have to drive to NM from UT in 2 days, will my car be ok?

Hybrid cars, of course.

I was just wondering if you are happy with them.

Are they reliable, and do they get mileage reasonably close to what the sticker says?

And, if you don't mind, could you share the price you paid for it.

This is a serious inquiry.

Many thanks.

I have a carloan right now on my 1998 Pontiac Transport, but my payments are outragious and I am thinking about re-financing, but I don't know enough about it. I was wondering if someone could give me a good site or some info on the process and whether or not it's a good idea.

CN Rail is a privately owned railroad that is controlled by a Board of Directors who have reduced the workforce in order to increase profits. CN used to be a Canadian Crown Corporation Company and has since been taken over by E. Hunter Harrison and his Illinois Central Railway. While the name Canadian National must remain in order to satisfy legislative requirements, the majority of the Board are citizens of the United States. CN once employed over 125,000 people for just it's Canadian operations, while it now has just over 24,000 employees for it's entire North American Network.

Seriously. I've *knock on wood* never gotten one. Just this morning I literally flew past an undercover cop before I realized how fast I was going. I simply tousled my blonde hair a little bit and that was that. It doesn't really seem fair, and I'm a horrible driver.

This has happned the past couple of days. After the truck sits for awhile and I try to start it, it will not start up completely, I have to try several times to get it to completely turn over. When it finally starts up the clock has been reset as well as my radio. I noticed that one time the door wasn't completely shut overnight and when I tried to start it the next morning is when the trouble began... anyone know whats up?

When I hook up a utility trailer to my truck(2002 F150- supercrew) the running lights on the trailer work, the signal lights work, but the brake light do not work on the trailer. I have checked the ground and reconnected it and wiring is standard 4-wire hookup. When I have the running lights on and apply the brakes, the running lights shut off. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I can drive safely in platforms without noticing but some say they hinder braking and could cause injury to wearers.

The right turn signal on my 2000 Daewoo Leganza works fine as long as I dont turn my lights or brights on, but once I do, both the front and back turn signals are on constantly, and only go off if I turn the lights off. They dont blink or anything, they just light up. What kind of problem is this? Are the bulbs about to go out or is it a fuse problem...?
Also, my front windsheild has a rater large crack in it, and I was wondering if anyone knew about ho much it would cost to get it replaced. And if the normal glass place could do it, or if Id have to take it somewhere special.

The Check engine light came on in my car last night. It is a 1997 Ford Aspire. The oil is fine and my car is not overheating. I have no idea what could be wrong. There is no smell and I have run it a little bit with no problems. I don't know if the problem is serious or not, but I would like to know what problems are going on in the mechanics of my car when the Check Engine light comes on. I am very nervous about this. If I can actually have a list of possible problems and ways to check them, that would be great.
