but the oil pressure still down, what would it be...?

You probably have worn main bearings on your crankshaft or worn camshaft bearings. The only solution is to replace the bearings to bring them into tighter tolerance so the oil can't escape as fast and the pressure will stay higher. It's not good news, but it's nothing catastrophic yet, and it happens to all engines with high milage or poor rebuilds.

If the oil pump is worn out usually the bearings. cam, rings and the rest are worn out. Keep it full of oil and drive on!

2 things

did you change the pressure spring as well

is your gauge working correctly

if both are yes then you have a soft motor thats fixing to kick the can
