I was driving my Honda recently and the engine stopped while idling. As the bike is old, I checked the sparkplugs and one was covered in oil. I changed both plugs and started the bike again. It performed better then it ever has before, but after only a couple minutes, it stopped once again, this time kicking while I was in 2nd gear and refusing to rev when I gave it gas. It seems to be the same problem. I walked it home and adjusted the idle level, and no problems there. The bike seems to be putting out a lot of smoke, which seems to me to mean that it’s burning oil? My cousin suggested that I change the air filter because it was running too rich, but would that cause it to stall out like that? Also, I have noticed that there is oil coming out of the exhaust. Dripping mostly, not much at all, but I wonder if they are related? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
