IF you were going to loan your child money for a bizness, wouldn’t you feel better if it was a bizness, you were already successful in AND it was a bizness that your son/daughter wanted to be in? My mom & step-bro were going to help me start my own biz, exactly like theirs. We’ll call it: ‘AJAX’ AJAX biz they have over 20 yr. exp. They have a proven product, a local ‘house-hold name’. Great relations with suppliers & customers. I have intermediate exp in this biz.
I found a great location, 5k month rent, other side of town. In this biz, you buy for a dollar, sell for three. I researched all the costs for build-out, negotiated free-rent for B-O, a B-O allowance, etc. I figured I needed 65k, they backed out saying, “it’s a 100k, out of our price range, rent is too high”

Instead, they wanted to support me in different biz they have 0 exp in that I only have amateur exp in, an hour away in another town, 12k rent, AND buy it for a dollar, sell it for $1.30! Initial investment 100k.

I'm making a small business to earn a bit of money. What happens is I email some of my family and friends (then they will forward the email to there family and friends) a nice photostory (it's like a PowerPoint thing) with nice pictures saying about what different effects and stuff I can do. I will also email them a application form which they can say if they want it burned to disk, although i think most people will, if they want music and other stuff like that. My question is what should I write in the email and how much should i charge? (if you don't understand any of this just say and I’ll edit it to make it easier to understand)

I am about to start my own small business and want to make sure I am doing things right the first time. I would like to find a good, honest, local accountant (not necessarily a CPA) to guide me through this process. How would I go about finding such a person?

Someone offered to pay me some money to do some work for them and they requested that I send an invoice to help keep track of things. How do I do this?

Do I use MS word or something to create the template or is there a place where I can download something made already where I can just edit it to better fix my needs?

Please hurry I need to get this done quickly, thanks!

I am considering opening a new business and to determine whether there is a need for such business. I was planning on sending out surveys to the families in the geographical area where the business will be. I looked into mailing lists and thay are a bit expensive, the question is: are they worth your investment? I would send out 5000 surveys, would people email the reply back if I offer an insentive (discount) and a return envelope? Has anyone done this before and worked? I am trying to get an idea from my community as to whether my business could be profitable. Thank you to everyone for your answers.

I work at a beauty salon as a receptionist (hourly) but my boss said that she's not liable for what her independent contractors (the stylists) do . so basically she saysno one can sue her if they are paying her rent to use her space. isthat true, legally?? isnt she liable for whatever happens under the roof of her establishment? me n my co-workers are debating this, abnd we all think she's wrong. also she said that she's going to make evgeryone sign a contract stating that she's not liable. is this legal??

I am planning to launch my website in the next few months. My problem is whether I should (or I have to) incorporate this website into legal business entity. My partner and I are US residents (not citizens) residing in California. Our business is expected to be losing money (startup costs) for at least the first or two years. We will generate advertising revenues after we gain enough traffic. I was planning to defer the company incorporation until it gains a certain size. But some questions come to my mind such as 1) legal liabilities, 2) tax libilities 3) Capital raise issues 4) anything that is important that you can tell me
If we finally decide to register, where? offshore(eg Cayman), or delaware or California or HK(our citizenship)

I am really puzzled now. Any responses would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
