should i forfeit my 20% deposit on special ordered item that i just don't want anymore?

perhaps i should rephrase. the item arrived in store. i don't want it. can i get my money back somehow even though their policy is no refund on the deposit?

Why spend the money if you do not want it. Just consider the down payment as "sunk capital."
