Is there a time period within a 24 hour period, where the whole world sleeps together? Or when its very early morning in one part of the world and late night/morning in another? The reason why I am asking this, is because I want to know the best time to update my website - i want to update it at a time where people are less likely to be online! If that makes sense... My content is Travel News ...

Thank you!

I work at an eye doctor's office in Kansas in a town that hasn't yet banned smoking in public or anything of that sort. We have just one smoker in our office who takes her regular 10 min smoke breaks twice a day (without abusing them), who has been doing this for her 7 years of employment. The office manager recently took her into her office with our head doctor and basicaly told her she needed to quit smoking the reason being her coughing fits. (Which is a combo between smoking and her severe allergies, and which do not happen but maybe once or twice a week for maybe 2-3 minutes.) They then tried to get her to sign a document saying she had to quit and "try to control her out-of-control coughing", which she refused. Then the next day took her back with a second doctor and tried again to get her to sign the document.
Do employers have a legal right to change employee's habits? I could not find any info pertaining to such circumstances, and would appreciate any help.

My attorney says, lots of "new" people at patent office.
Lots of problems, turn-over, dissatisfaction. Does this sound truthful? My "design" patent is VERY simple to understand. It is unbelievable that anything NEW should take 28 months and still know NOTHING.
I heard in Canada it only takes 12-14 months max. anybody know?
Thanks.

I have a small consulting business and one of my clients is not paying their invoices to the tune of 30K. There is no dispute over the work at all and I have spoken with them. After many unfulfilled promises, and a refusal to come out and tell me the truth of what's going on, I have to take further action.

Which is a better course of action? A lawyer to send a letter of intent to sue, or a collections agency?

I'm having trouble getting assistance with my new web site. As a company you recruite business to sign up for a web page. However, it's been about a month and my site still does not receive hits. In my last conversation with the person who signed me up said that it could take 2-4 weeks before all of my search engines kick in. However, I'm very concerned because when I do a search using my web site in yahoo "npaurbanwear" no search in found. I'm paying for a priority search and the only hits that I'm getting is from myself, and friends. as of Monday I've only had 54 hits. I'm starting to feel that your company is only interested in signing people up, but not helping them be successful. This is not good for me and it reflects negatively on your company. I own a store in the Sunrise mall in Corpus Christi and a couple of other store owners have been asking me almost daily for updates because they are considering signing up. I have not said anything negative, but I hard to keep positive.

I'm tired of getting spam, and people using my domain in forged spam emails. I am not a ISP but I have my business website and work emails.

1. What would be the best approach to sue them?
2. How to prepare for this level of work?

Yes I'm willing to take the full headers apart, look though the html and find the domains that sent it. Use DNS lookup tools to find the owner of the company. Contact Secretary of the State to get real business information. Use a honeypot email addresses on my server just for skimming accounts.

Other notes:
- incorporated in Idaho.
- I'm willing to put a full time worker on the task.

Basically, we received a letter from a company that has the same name as ours and are alledging trademark infringement. They are based out of Texas and have a plant in Rice Lake, WIsconsin and we are in Milwaukee, WIsconsin---we are very far away from eachother...but we have completely different products/services. They manufacture window and door components (parts on the windows) and we install windows, siding, and doors. They sell products we offer a service. Also, they want the right to our domain name. Is this trademark infringement since we offer two different products/services or do we have to surrender or name and domain? Please help fast! Can you give me any advice on what I should do?

A and I own a restaurant together. 2 weeks ago some money went missing in the safe, and ever since then A have been accusing me to be the thief. Couple of days after we discovered some money was missing, a portion of the stolen money was in the safe. After we discovered the portion of the returned money, A changed his mind about me being a thief and assumed i "borrowed" money and was "planning to put it back". I insist on changing the lock to the safe and set up a security camera, but A refused because 1) the store is low on funds and 2) A believes i won't steal the money again since "i got caught".
According to A, I am the number one suspect because i am not good with managing my money and i'm always broke. To me, just because i have money problems doesn't mean i am a thief.

how do i prove my innocence?
