I want to make sure no one steals the name of my business...is copyrighting what I should do?

The first thing that you must do is register the business name with your state revenue department. This way no one can take that name. But when you register you would need to tell them what type of business entity are you going to have. Whether is it a corporation, LLC, proprietorship or partnership.

You do not have to incorporate to register your business name like in answers given to you earlier.

it all depends on the type of business. you can incorporate it, you can get a LLC for it, you can trademark it...I mean theres many different ways it all depends on the direction you are trying to go with it
