Try going door to door to see if anyone has odd jobs for you (in your neighborhood).

The best way to get babysitting jobs is through family, friends and school! I babysat when I was 15. I had considered posting flyers, but nowadays, it's not the safest thing to do. You don't know what kind of weirdos are out there.

Tell your mom to tell her coworkers (and your dad) that you're interested in babysitting. Make sure to contact parents are school with younger children. The one place I'd feel comfortable with a 13-year-old putting a flyer in is at a school! They usually have cork boards with announcements. Maybe you could ask them if it's ok for you to put one up.

It could say something like:

Babysitter

Responsible teen who loves to work with children! Please contact me for more information. I'd be happy to talk with you about your babysitting needs.

Have you seen those flyers with the numbers you can tear off? Make sure you do that if possible :) Also be sure that your mom is comfortable with where you put your flyers! Have her help you!

GOOD LUCK! Hope you get a good job!

I would first start off by making sure that you at 13 are able to handle all of the responsibility of being a baby sitter. Like if you are watching a baby or child and they start choking...will you know what to do? If there is a fire, a child with an allergic reaction to a bee sting, etc....could you handle any of those things and know what to do? You need to decide ages, how many kids you can handle, and how late you are allowed to sit.

I know as a mom I would not hire a 13 year old to watch my 3 year old and my 1 year old...no offense!

Take a baby sitting class and a CPR class. That would put many parents minds at ease about your age. Many YMCA's offer them as well as fire departments. I think it would be great to have that on your flier, you could send it ouot to family and family friends, and it would make parents feel like you were mature enough.

Good luck with babysitting!

:-)

Your flyer shoud have
- your name and background about you
- your experience if you have any
- your contact info
- your requirements (like you would baby sit only 3 yr and up etc)
- also mention that references would be available on request. This is important. If you do not have any then you could always give a few names from your family.
- Have a good, legible, non cluttered flyer with a few baby clip arts

Good Luck!

if u wanna babysit then on the flyers write good things about ur self and ur number but flyers aren't really the best way becuase sometimes random people call u so it would be best if u start off wit people ur parnets know and make sure they pay well then they well tell people they know about u and sooner or later u'll get all of people to ask u and u'll have alot of money to spend at the mall!
