I'm having an interveiw today and it's important that I know what I can do to ace it. The boss has been conducting interveiws yesterday and today, and today is mine, which means people have gone before me. What can I do to make myself stand out? The interveiw is to work in a privately owned coffee shop named Zoie's Coffee.

Think for a minute about someone coming in for a cup of coffee and what kind of person they would like to see behind the counter. Someone with a smile. Somone patient. Polite but not too polite. Someone who listens carefully to their order and gets it right. If I owned a coffee shop that's who I would want to hire.

There is a special skill in dealing with people, it's not as easy as it looks. Remember coffee is a drug, and some people coming in really -need- coffee and they might not be in the best mood. 8^)

So anyway keep a smile on your face, not grinning like an idiot but like you're enjoying the interview and you think you'll get the job. Listen carefully to the boss and answer every question like; "Oh! I'm glad you asked me that!" (but don't make it really obvious).

an interview at a coffee shop shouldn't be that hard to make yourself stand out. Really the only qualifications you need for that type of counter job is that you look nice and you are friendly. So dress nice, look good and turn on the charm.

make purchase of the coffee shop, then instruct the manager to hire you;you could also find some form of embarrassing provable information on the manager to sway the decision, but that could work out to a negative....I don't know how to hypnotise people...

It's too late, but you should practice. Find someone you know who owns or runs a business and let them take you through some mock interviews.

Don't spill your cofee. No, seriously - do your homework and know something about the different coffees that the store sells and then relax and be yourself.
