I am sixteen and planning of starting a party planning business. I just do not know how to start. How does it work when they tell you how to make the party? Do they give u the movey to buy the stuff or do they expect u to buy it and they pay u later (which would be bad for my circumstances)

I came across this many, many times and many of my friends and their friends had the same.
Job Agencies often advertise jobs just to get people's CV's so that they can show them off to potential contractors.
People are wasting their time with writing applications and hopinf to get a job, when they are being exploited for money-making and market research.
What do you think?

I am a female, and next Monday I start my new job at the cosmetic department in a new store. However, I do not have any female friends, all my friends are males. I need to develop female friendships. So I've decided to turn to you gals to ask for help. I do not know how to start a conversation with another female- I need some ice breakers with my new co-workers, and especailly working in the cosmetic area of a store. I need some pointers. My boss initially low-balled me on pay rate, because he knew I needed a job - my wife and I were pregnant. He knew I wouldn't say No to the opportunity. There were initial promises of going hourly to salary, competetive salary rate after 90 days, paid holidays, and accumulation of vacation days - none of which came to fuition. Eventually, he offered to pay for licensing costs & schooling.

After a year, I took another job, with a better company, with family benefits beginning on my first day and a slightly better salary.

Now, my boss wants to deduct the school's cost from my final paycheck, because I'm not "fulfilling my responsibility to the company".

Should I confront him or just not come in my last few days? The amount of days I'd be paid for working at the end approximately equals the amount I "owe" the company.

Is withholding that money legal or should I even have to repay it, if there is no business/employment agreement?

My husband is a graphic designer and is doing quite a bit of free-lance on the side. He has just started making designs to screen print onto t-shirts but we're wondering how he can sell the shirts but also protect his designs as his own. I bought a shirt from spencers gifts store and I guessed that I needed a Large (they dont have fitting rooms to try on). Well, it didn't fit I go back to the store to exchange it for a Medium and they didn't have one. So I was just going to get a refund and they wouldn't give me one!!!!!!! they said that its policy that they dont give cash refunds even with recipt. They said I could exchange it or get a gift card. I think thats wrong cause they didnt have the size I needed and there was nothing else at the store that I wanted! They MAKE you shop at their store!

I will never shop there again!

I'm starting a home-based life and health insurance brokerage and I'll also offer wealth management services. My overhead will be low, but I want to invest some start-up capital in additional training for myself, as well as marketing my business. The main concern I have is that my grandpa invested $20k in my dad's failed business over 20 years ago, and it's made holiday gatherings very awkward. I plan on paying back the capital I need to start ($6500), but it may take 3 years or more if the business starts more slowly than I anticipate. 1) How should I go about requesting start-up funding?; and 2) If it's granted, how should I set up the repayment arrangement? As a loan, or should I give the investor a stake in the company? What are the legal ramifications of the latter since he is not licensed to sell life and health insurance (is it considered sharing commission if he receives income from the business)?

I want to sell a book filled with a compilation of motivational quotes. I want to use quotes from various sources such as famous people(actors, motivational speakers, politicians, authors, etc), short quotes taken from books, etc. Most quotes will be short. Since I plan on selling copies of this book for a profit.....Can I legally use other peoples quotes in my book without violating any copyright issues or restrictions? What can I do legally?
