just got a new job, working in a cosmetic department how ever I need your help!?

Question

I am a female, and next Monday I start my new job at the cosmetic department in a new store. However, I do not have any female friends, all my friends are males. I need to develop female friendships. So I've decided to turn to you gals to ask for help. I do not know how to start a conversation with another female- I need some ice breakers with my new co-workers, and especailly working in the cosmetic area of a store. I need some pointers. Please help!!!

2] special offers -
'free sample of --- with any purchase'
'care to sample our new fragrance?' [ they always call it a fragrance, makes it sound more expensive, I guess ]
3] free makeovers, if your store does them
CO-WORKERS:
1] compliments, again
2] can I watch while you do - [ a makeover, special technique,
etc. ]
3] will you teach me...

You could ask if they are married...single...have kids. Do they go to school? How long have they been working there.
