Of course they make you shop at their store. they do not want to lose money. if there is a way they can get you to buy something they will. put yourself in their shoes. if you ran a bussiness you would want the same. As a customer yes i do agree that it is wrong. I do understand where you are coming from because no one really reads the store policy. also as a customer you should be made happy. that would be the responsibility of the store and good cusotomer service. my advice would be to get the gift card and shop at their online store. the world is an ugly shopping place. good luck.

Before u part with the cash be fully satisfied that the shirt fit u. If not, do not pay. Once u pay they do not refund the amount, or it is advisable to make part payment, and pay the full amount only when fully satisfied.
U must try to avoid shops that do not have all facilities like trial rooms etc. Demand the best, confirm it is the best, take the best, and pay for it. Make your shopping more competitive, get the best at the least price possible.

Very few retailers give full cash refunds nowadays--at least clothing retailers. Once they get your money, they want to keep your money; it's better for profit margins that way. It sucks, but that's the unfortunate way things are. Just try not to take it out on the cashier or even store [level] manager. It's corporate policy..meaning it's customer service policy made up by people who do not have deal directly with the customers.

Hmm, that is not very good, it affects the reputation. Did you try going to other Spencers gifts stores? Perhaps they have the size you want, and you can change it. Why not make a suggestion to the store to fit a fitting room Or make a complain.

morally yes but legally it is not....if they have anything to the effect that expressly states that no cash refunds would be made, then it is the duty of the customer to beware of such a thing. I agree that such policies should b changed to b more customer friendly

Its not wrong, its just store policy. I think its dumb because for the cost of a t shirt they lost all your future business, but it isn't wrong - lots of stores have that policy.

They are within their legal rights to not give cash refunds. There should be a sign posted somewhere saying that.
You are certainly within your rights to refuse to shop there.
