Small Business - April 2007

I am a carpenter and do a lot of remodeling. I do everything from the breaker-box out: running wire, installing light fixtures, replacing light fixtures, outlets, switches, etc. Do I have to get a license to do this in Ohio? If so, how do I go about obtaining one?

I share an office with 4 other postgrad students in a small office. Our Research Division Leader has given us an allowance of $400 as a one off payment for the office to be 'personalised'. We all ahve PCs, a small kitchen with kettle, microwave, fridge and we cant agree what to get (posters, plants, technology, expresso machine). Any suggestions?

I am starting a company that is a website. I am starting it with 3 of my friends, with the four of us spliting ownership equally at 25% each. What is the best way to set this copmpany up? We think we will be really big and are going to need venture cap. funding at some point, probably early on. With the complexities of stock and share types such as common vs. prefferd vs. options, i am very confused and do not know how to strart my company. How should I do it? I wanted to buy a vehicle using a supplier discount. The discount only works for a purchase made by me. However, I plan to use this vehicle for business use with my own LLC. I am the sole owner/manager in the LLC.

Am I still able to write-off the asset depreciaton on the vehicle under the LLC, even though it is titled and registered to me instead of the company? Or must the purchase be made in the company's name?

I have an idea which i need to get patented but i dont know how to do it. Also what do i do once i've got the patent?

Basically I've noticed when i've been doing love making i get very hot and the condom can slip where i start to sweat and can come off.........baby time.

Obviously this is a major concern so i have developed a condom with sweat holes in it so that the sweat goes through the sweat holes rather than building up and making the condom slip.

I've spent quite a bit of money on developing this so really want to get this patented so i can start to sell this product and recoup some of my money.

Any help or tips would be really appreciated.

Hi I have been out of work for Nine months and often wonder if anyone really reads the applications online at all? LoL I do not qualify for welfare and unemployment as well my relatives and friends are either retired on TIGHT incomes are out of work!.
