I'm stumped! I don't know what to do?. So I'd appreciate advice and a point in the right direction to get things going. Thanks!

You may need to find more creative ways to advertise. That startup cost seems a bit steep for an errand service. You can start with some free or nearly free advertising for instance. You can advertise your services on http://www.craigslist.org for free. That website is viewed by millions each day. Most cities have Thrifty Nickels for advertising. You can print up flyers on your own printer for the cost of ink and paper. I've done that many times. I've owned several business and not one of them cost me much more than a few hundred dollars to start up. It's a slower way to do it, but over time the payoffs are big. If your funds are tight, you may have no choice but to start smaller.

Frankly, I don't think you need to $1500 to start an errand business. I've started several businesses for less than that. I would simply START. Do some word-of-mouth advertising. See if you can find a few quick jobs, and go from there.

Go to your local library, look in reference section and see about government grants. Lots of people get them for start up business and you don't have to pay them back. You don't need to be eligible for welfare or even any certain ethnicity. They have them for everything.
