Hi everyone. I am part owner of a construction business and we desperately need to start a payroll, as we have hired help recently. I really don't want to pay taxes on someone else's money. Any input would be much appreciated, as tax time for us is coming up. Thanx.

I am in a bit of an odd situation. I am the owner of a two year old non-profit business. Currently, our annual income covers all expenses with $0 left over at the end of every quarter. The business does not own realestate and I would like to purchase property. I own my own home and have OK (not good, not great) credit and am only 22 years old. My husband has no credit. He has never had a loan or credit card in his name.
Is it at all likely that I can get a loan from a bank to purchase property?
My business has done very well and only shows signs of growth over the past two years and would grow even more if I had my own property. Any suggestions?

I am looking to open a salon/spa. I have my cosmetology license from a world renowned academy of cosmetology; and I am also looking into getting my Massage practitioners license, so that I can offer many different services. I would offer : Massages, Aromatherapy, Facials, Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, Haircuts/Styles/Perms/Highligh... ext.. all in one place, all done by me. It would be very private as I would not accept walk in clients, and would only have one client in the spa at a time because I know some people are not comfortable with spa settings, especially when they are busy! So... would you like a setting like that? Why or why not? Would you pay extra for more personal attention and a cosmetologist with a higher level of training? why or why not? What kind of services do you receive on a monthly/yearly basis and would you go more often if you had a good relationship and trust with your cosmetologist? Thank you!

Account Receivables will influence you cash flow to continue with business, but if the A/R's do not come in as stated on the invoice sheet even when you put in 1%-10days net 30. they still decide to wait t=for that 30 and then some. So you try 2% 10 days net 30. No luck Yes I am dealing with the commercial end of my servicing accounts. What other ideas can I utilize.

Small family run business, in the service end. Contractor.

OK, so I'm a retired school teacher and not a CPA or such, but I love numbers, they talk to me. For example, if I sell on ebay and want to keep track of how much I paid for my item I am selling and then want to keep track of costs invovlved in
selling it and see eventual long term profit etc, is there a software program or something you might suggest for me. PLease don't call me dumb, I'm tired of those kinds of answer on ask and answer because 90% of answers have been so so helpful :) ANd remember, graphs, charts, and numbers speak to me :)

A handful of people always seem to keep control of the bar, no matter what we do, and we have tried everything...do we just grin and bear it or can we get really assertive, and start all over including staff...we are Mom and Pop and it is difficult enough these days...

i know ebay and amazon take a share of the money everytime you sell something. if paypal takes a chunk out too, then thats rediculous.

I have never found the magic formula as to how to work with the regulars (that are important) from trying to run your business, from staff to gossip to operation of the business. Has any one got any IDEAS on how these people should be treated and tips to give to my bartenders to keep these people fresh and enjoyable on a daily basis..the only thing I know is, if you get rid of a group, it hurts business and another group comes along..I might add, the majority of people keep a low profiel, but may be discouraged by the small group of regulars that look like they run the show and then look for another place, like a chain or franchise to frequent where it is not so personable...
