We are trying to start a retail business with a great idea. We are both under 30 and have retail management experience. We know we would ideally need about $30,000 to comfortably get this off the ground. However we bothhave bd credit. Does anyone have experience with finding a lending angel or accessing government loan programs that are hidden from plain view? We have no equity to present, and are beginning to think it may be a hopeless cause. We dont want to regret missing this oppourtunity later. We have been best friends for almost 18 years, and are currently stay-at-home moms.

I looking for something different than Skype, because with them the people who receives the call have to have Skype too. I want to be able to call to anyone with a normal phone line using my computer. I am not looking necessarily for a free service, I am willing to pay under $ 30.00 dollars for the monthly service. Thank you

For example, let's say an egg (hypothetically) costs $1.00. The menu price of that egg is $2.00. How is the $2.00 price determined?

In other words, what is the average "mark-up" on food items in the average "family" type restaurant?

I am thinking of opening my own ice cream shop. I would really like your suggestions on what you would want to see in an ice cream shop. I am considering specializing in soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt with lots of mix-in choices. Sort of like Blizzards from Dairy Queen, only MORE choices! I am also considering specialty sundaes such as Lemon Blast with a lemon bar cookie on the bottom with vanila ice cream, whip cream, lemon sauce, nuts, etc. Any ideas or suggestions about what YOU want when you visit an ice cream shop would be MOST welcome. Thank you.

My book is coming out at the end of next month and I am self published. I am really tight on money so I want to pick the places that would be the most productive for my book signing venues. Should I run a poll to see where the most people suggest I go or what? Any other ideas out there?

when we were growing up he was the meticulous one, very stingy and organised, in school i was very brilliant but frivorous, i loved parties and girls, he didn't, after school i went into biz, i took them all by surprise and started making money, my brother swallowed his pride and proposed to join the biz and become a patner, i accepted. we started making a lot of money together but because of our differences (i was extravagant while he was prudent) we couldn't go along together, and since he was older than me he wanted to be in charge, we had to split. I retained the biz and he moved off to setup elsewhere. Today, 7 yrs after we split i'll sincerely say that he is a better biz man that me, i have two very successful offices, he has 4. I have no prob with that, but recently in a family gathering we were discussing monetary issues and i tried to advice him, he shocked me by blurting out that he has noticed that i'm jealous of him and green with envy, this is not true, what should i do?

Our small business is having a tenant / landlord issue and I'm not sure if you are the person to ask. We run a small massage therapy office that really doesn't have set hours since we are only there for scheduled appointments. Our landlord has a habit of having work done in our offices without prior notice or any notice at all. He says he has the right at anytime but he never takes us into consideration by giving us advance notice. Is that right of him to do? Is there any where to find what commercial tenant laws are?
