Ok, we know there are many qualities that the gurus will tell you. Many of you will say it depends on industry, type of business, your geographical location, whether you are boy or gal yada yada... etc
But to you, what are the most important that applies to any industry, business, location etc.
Passion, hard work, persistence, guts, EQ, IQ etc
IMHO, I would say Passion, Hard work, Guts will have to be some of the qualities.

I am on the lookout for business opportunities. One that I saw in an American mag involves buying payments that a people receive over time (e.g. monthly rent that a landlord receives) in exchange for a lump sum of cash. The profit to the investor would be the difference between what he pays for the stream of payments and what he/she receives from that stream.

Does anyone have any comments or ideas?

i have been tattooing for approx. 10 years professionally. I have recently moved to tennessee but to tattoo they said they require a one year apprenticeship under a tennessee licensed tattooist. Where I moved from did not require a "License or Apprenticeship". Only a permit recieved after passing a health department test.
How can I obtain a License in the state of tennessee for tattooing without having to go threw this one year apprenticeship?

Hi, I am new on this forum and I want to open an internet cafe in a mall next to a school. i am 100% if i open there it will work, however, i am having trouble contacting the person in charge for the local.
I went in person to meet the administration office. They ask me to call a phone number and the number was a vocal box. i left a message and they never call back. i was wondering if there was a specific way to leave a message.
Does anyone know how to be persistent when we leave a message to rent a local?
for example: what information must be said and what to talk about. because when i left my message i was not quite sure if I sounded professional.
thanx you

I make candles and jewellry and cookies, cute homely things like that. Until now they labels have said .. Candles by Sarah, Cookies by Sarah etc. Boring and dull!
I have a few shops now interested in stocking my things, but I can't think of a good business name.
I'd like to get a cute (ish) original name that'll cover any handmade items I sell. Now does anyone have any ideas?
Free candle or other gift for the best answer =D

My husband wants to start our own clothing line. I created a symbol for it. What do I need to do to protect our logo? I was reading about patents, trademarks, and copyright. I wasn't sure what I really needed. Looked like I needed a trademark, but I'm not sure. Any help for someone who knows from experience and not just guesting is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I've had a part-time business for the past 2 years and have just completed this year's self-assessment tax return online. I've decided that I want to close my business, but I'm not sure who I need to inform or how. I'm not VAT-registered as the turnover wasn't high and I'm a sole-trader. Could anyone point me in the right direction please? Is there a website with a good checklist? Thanks very much.

I am creating an Online Business. After months of thinking I will sell Greeting Cards, Handmade Cards, Thank you Cards, Writing Paper and Get Well Soon Cards. We will be opening on the 1st January 2007 and I am using Yahoo Merchant Solutions to create our website. Just one tiny problem. We do not have a name for our company. Can you help us? You can be as broad as you want to be in helping us name our Card company.
