I want a unique name that sets my business apart from others, but I don't want it to be corny. I will be pet sitting in the pets home and want to suggest a more upscale type of care.

I want to be a business owner. I don't have any business in mind, in particular. I have a science, math, sales background. I would like something I can do at home or part time to begin - I have small children and a wife at home. I think franchises usually want too much up front (for good reason) and this might preclude me. I DON'T want retail. I know SCORE is a good resource for ideas and advice... Is there any further guidance someone might offer me?

I'm opening a boutique and my landlady's asking for 6 months rent deposit, 3 months rent upfront, signatures from my parents company (which I'm trading through) and a personal guarantee as well. Is she asking too much, or is this perfectly normal in the retail industry?

I am just looking for suggestions here. I am a self-employed website owner. I have difficulty being motivated to do work during weekdays with no one around. I am looking for someone to simply sit and work with (at Starbucks). I would love suggestions for how to find someone in a similar situation (I know that this would include college students, writers, artists or other self-employed people). Any ideas about how to find people in a similar situation (websites would be MUCH appreciated!).

Thanks.

Help with naming my jewelry business?
Hi, I need help with a catchy/creative name for my jewelry business using the name Immy or Imogene if possible. I will also be making/selling bath products like body scrubs, etc. Would like a name that would apply to both if possible but could also be used with only the jewelry or bath products. I will also be organizing a once a month marketplace for independent designers and crafters. Thanks for your help. Please pick or add a new name and a slogan. 1) Imo-Gems 2) Creations by Immy 3) Imogene's Jewelry & Bath 4) Immy's Bangles & Bath 5) Immy's Bath & Bling 6) Imo-Gems Gifts 7) 'Immy, Immy, Immy!' (Gimme, Gimme Gimme) 8) Immy's Stones and Suds
Thanks!

My company is currently trying to sell software we developed. It is an anti-badware (badware being an all encompassing term including spyware, adware, virsues, malware, etc) enterprise product. My thought was that the most effective way to sell the product would be to use software vendors who already have established relationships with clientelle. I felt this would be more effective than cold calling companies, and they would be more receptive to purchasing the product through a trusted vendor.

Does anyone have recommendations for how to convince software resellers to sell the product? Is there any recommended procedure that should be followed when contacting vendors? Is there any listing of area software resellers that I can use to find potential vendors?

I have the utmost confidence that our product is the best product available. However, I am aware that it is not always the best product that succeeds. Any help you can give would be most appreciated.

What should be in our operating agreement? Does it get filed as well as the actual paperwork for the LLC? We have the paperwork for the LLC but there is not a form for an operating agreement.

I'm seriously considering starting up a male escort business of my own. My regular 9-5 job just doesn't satisfy me and I was thinking that there seem to be so many lonely women out there who would appreciate a nice sophisticated intelligent man to take them out every now and again that I am SURE they would pay. Any suggestions on finding guys?? I'm not even sure where to begin...should I put up a website? Standard fees and charges?? With the holidays coming the extra cash would be welcome.....

As part of the national Youth Enterprise scheme in Britain, a group of 25 students are trying to come up with a company name. Unfortunately, we have to decide on a name before we decide on the product we want to sell. A strong, universal name would be our best bet. Any thoughts?

where a advertising rep comes to your business and home.....and helps to promote your business.....and respresents all the sign manufacturers on the net, Vistaprint.com, and all the customized products companies. I would hire a knowledgable advertsing rep for each area.....and just collect 10% royalties for each territory. I would do this across Canada and the USA. Would this work???? What improvements could be made to make this work????
