Small Business - September 2006

The size of the roll is four metres in length thats thirteen feet one inch not very wide though around twelve inches.The weight should not exceed 25 kg. I have tried everyone i can think of and none of them accept packages over 3 metres in length, With one exception being dhl who want nearly a hundred quid? Has anyone got any ideas?? thanks.

We have all the equipment needed and permits. but how do we know what taxes to pay for? the business is small is only for two people. Until we pick up the business we will hire other help. But for now is just two people. So the only question will be how can we find out what kind of taxes we should be paying?

I was employed from January 2005 until June 2006 with employer A. I left employer A because I was offered more hours, a higher rate of pay, and moved my home 30 miles closer to employer B, which I started in February 2006. (Yes, I was working at both for a time).

Employer B made a statement once referencing a former employee, saying "And I am STILL paying her unemployment after all this time"

I have been laid off from Employer B as of 3 weeks ago. I am wondering....

1) If I collect unemployment, does it come from just the UI that was paid in by employers, or do they have to make further payments?

2) Would those payments come from Employer B, or Both A&B?

I understand that employers pay unemployment insurance, but I don't understand if they actually pay more money when an employee makes a claim.

I worked for a company and resigned. About 3+ months after leaving the company I get a phone call from the local police asking me to come in and answer some questions. The officer would not tell me why. I declined to go. Its been 6 months since I left the company and I was contacted by the business insurance company wanting to send me information about a claim.

I am working on a conference call for my coaching clients on the topic of fear, as this often holds our clients back from buying and prevents business owners for taking action on things that would get them to the next level.
