My uncle owns a small business and with any small business, you have people that don't know that they have to PAY for services. Well, he told me that if I wanted to take the time to fill out the paperwork and do the legwork to get this money collected, he would split the money collected 50/50.

How would I go about legally forcing people to pay their bills? My uncle is a vet and the average uncollected bill that he has was about $50. Some are larger, some smaller. What all would be involved? What order would I have to go through to make sure all of the bases are covered? I live in Iowa and the business is also in Iowa.

I have always wanted to own my own business. I finally found something I would be interested in and have experience with. It is a franchise opp. called Home Instead. I work for a company that does pool plumbing and we have far too much paperwork flowing through our office. Our scanner does not process quickly enough (it wouldn't save anytime). I am looking for new ideas to streamline our flow of paperwork. Any ideas are appreciated.

If you know of a model of scanner that does the job quickly, I would love to hear from you!
