Do you authorize the payments like a buy and sell?I am worried that someone might max my card.

yes you have to log on everytime you make a payment - I have one special card that I use on paypal so I can manage it, and make sure no other payments come out of the account.
I've had an account for a couple of years and never had a problem paying and receiving money.
Just be sure not to access your account from the likes of internet cafes were your info may be stored

It is a secure site but be careful you will receive fake emails at times saying they need to verify your password don't answer them they are all fake, Paypal will never email you for personal information. You are the only one who has the password to make payments. I use paypal all the time and in 7 years never had one problem.

You pay email addresses that are set up to receive payment thru PalPal. It is their site and it is very secure one of the best out there. You can receive payment as well to the email address you use to setup your account with. You also setup with your bank account and you can setup with a credit card too. You can echeck money right out of your checking account or straight from your credit card. PayPal is fastly becoming one of the number one sources to use to pay for anything on line. Many businesses are accepting it. To allow shoppers to pay them for their products that they sell.

Its quite safe im using it for sometime to pay for ebay stuff. You have to actually sign in to your paypal account to authorize a payment so in my view its quite okay to use.

When you open a paypal account, you have to log in and give authorization for every transaction. You will recieve an invoice for each transaction too.

Yes, you authorize. because when you go to the "pay now" button it takes you the the paypal link and you have to type in your username and password each time you want to make a purchase.
