Help with naming my jewelry business?
Hi, I need help with a catchy/creative name for my jewelry business using the name Immy or Imogene if possible. I will also be making/selling bath products like body scrubs, etc. Would like a name that would apply to both if possible but could also be used with only the jewelry or bath products. I will also be organizing a once a month marketplace for independent designers and crafters. Thanks for your help. Please pick or add a new name and a slogan. 1) Imo-Gems 2) Creations by Immy 3) Imogene's Jewelry & Bath 4) Immy's Bangles & Bath 5) Immy's Bath & Bling 6) Imo-Gems Gifts 7) 'Immy, Immy, Immy!' (Gimme, Gimme Gimme) 8) Immy's Stones and Suds
Thanks!

I like #5 or #8 those are cute. bath and bling is very "now" and you can sell to all types of people. stones and suds is very nice also, but I think it may lack to say what you are selling. The others are more generic, and if I were to drive past your shop, I would assume it is another gift shop with cheap things in it. I think if I were to drive by the Immy's bath and bling, I would be more inclined, because it just sounds more....SHINY, like "HEY, come in HERE!!" like you have something new and exciting to offer...

The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make. A name's originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance.
The name you choose will become the focal point of all the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it in the future.
I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

"Immy's Bath and Bling" is quite catchy, and a search suggests that it's not widely used yet. It also describes exactly what you're doing, and suggests a nice lighthearted attitude.
"Gimme my Immy's!" would be a good slogan...!
"Stones & Suds," on the other hand, could be a laundromat ;*)

I like Immy's Bath & Bling, or some variation of that like Immy's Clean & Bling or something.

I vote for Bath and Bling - with bubbles and gemstones (unmounted) in your ads. It would be so cute, and I love the word "bling." It's very 'now" - that's the only shortcoming. It could become a "dated" when the popular slang moves on to something else.
Good luck! I envy you your gutsy move into your venture, especially in today's economy. I wish you the very best. I wish I had the talent and the nerve to branch out on my own into a business venture.
Don't know where your business is going to be located, but if I ever see your sign, I'll definitely stop in.
