I make candles and jewellry and cookies, cute homely things like that. Until now they labels have said .. Candles by Sarah, Cookies by Sarah etc. Boring and dull!
I have a few shops now interested in stocking my things, but I can't think of a good business name.
I'd like to get a cute (ish) original name that'll cover any handmade items I sell. Now does anyone have any ideas?
Free candle or other gift for the best answer =D

Whimsical Wonders - by Sarah

or

Lift Your Spirit - by Sarah

OK the reasons... Well I haven't put your name in the business name as I think unless you are a big corporation and simply using your name (Ala Donald Trump) I think it can tend to sound a little amateurish.

The items you mention are whimsical yet wonderful. I mean they aren't anything people REALLY need yet a lovely flickering candle or a great homemade cookie or wearing a great bit of jewellery can really make a bad day good. In that sense they also lift your spirit.

I feel quite excited being involved in this and it isn't even my business. Can't wait to see what you decide. Do you have a site with your things on it?

I like your avatars name, Fairy Nuff! In my opinion theres loads of companies who do the same thing you do with names based on the criteria you've described, and they all sound dull and similar. Candles by Sarah isn't such a bad idea coz it is different and individual, and people like things that are obviously home made and are not mass produced, which is what your name suggests. Just add a funky but simple logo to make it more interesting.

How about Sarah's Notions? Make the label look old fashioned like some of the things you see in places like Cracker Barrel with scroll work and ink sketches of flowers on them and such. Notions would cover anything you made and it sounds homey.
