I am thinking of opening my own ice cream shop. I would really like your suggestions on what you would want to see in an ice cream shop. I am considering specializing in soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt with lots of mix-in choices. Sort of like Blizzards from Dairy Queen, only MORE choices! I am also considering specialty sundaes such as Lemon Blast with a lemon bar cookie on the bottom with vanila ice cream, whip cream, lemon sauce, nuts, etc. Any ideas or suggestions about what YOU want when you visit an ice cream shop would be MOST welcome. Thank you.

choices are good. maybe you can also do a survey of type of flavors that most people like so that you can limit your order to few flavors (but still plenty of choices).

I was recently in a Ice Cream Shop that had 30 soft Ice cream flavors and I spent a fortune of money. So I guess go with the soft stuff with lots of choices. Of course you must have everything else.. Yogurts, Hard Ice cream, Slush, Soft ices, Ice Cream Cake, Etc. Maybe a small breakfast stand too. Lots Of Luck Becoming a millionaire and expanding into a blockbuster mega chain store!!!
Not that I'm an expert in the field but from what I saw in the Ice cream Shop there were no 30 machines for each flavor he had one machine which made soft ice cream and some how combined it with the flavor I choose. Do some research I'm sure you'll find out more info. Good Luck!

Where I live, there are many places to visit, and I really prefer going to a place where they offer both hard and soft ice cream. I prefer hard, but my family usually goes for soft. I can't stand getting a sundae made with soft ice cream-yuck! I think people do like soft ice cream, but for my money, I'd always pick the hand scooped hard ice cream...good luck!

I would like to have the option of both. Sometimes I am on a low/non fat mood sometimes not. I would like lots of mix in choices with both. Fresh fruit and sugery snacks. My answer is both.:)
I love icecream and I want it all! :)
I used to work in an ice cream shop and we got lots of business for both. The kids would get regular ice cream and mom would get low fat soft serve.

My first determination is not elementary ice cream yet i actually like it melted. I truly were melting my ice cream for 8 years now (because i develop into pregnant with my first son). My 2d determination is smooth serve and in very last position is a tie with frozen yogurt and frozen custard.
