My fiancee & me closed on our house april 20th, since then we have serious issues with the house, that we were not aware of when buying. I never signed the contract when we put the offer on the house, my realtor thought she'd be helpful and forge my name since I was unable to get away. What can I do about this, could I be able to get out of the house, What can I do???

I rented a house From June 1 2003 until June 15 2007. On June 1 2003 I gave the landlord a $600.00 deposit. On May 1 2007 I advised the landlord of my move out date. I moved out as of 12 midnight on June 15th 2007. I paid a full months rent on June 1st. I have not heard anything from my landlord about my deposit or the 2nd half months rent. What are my options to get that money back. She is not returning my calls. Also, does anyone know if I should get interest on my money and if so, what is the %? I am not sure about the legal system and do not have money for an attorney.

Should I buy a rental property? How can I shelter some of my income?

We are selling our house for sale by owner and have had realtors bring prospective buyers through. We are willing to pay commission, but 3% is going to hurt a little. We could swing 2.5% or 3% if we absolutely had to and received a fair price for the house. However, 2% would be much more comfortable. Is this an acceptable commission for a buyer's agent? Thanks!

I have had a couple renting an apartment in my home for under a year now. They changed the locks and I never received a copy of the key. Now they are leaving but still refuse to provide a copy of the key, and they are never home so I can never show the apartment to potential new tenants. The police said I am not required to have their key, but what do the police know? Is there anyone who can help? If I cannot show this apartment then I will lose at least one month's rent after they leave. Please help!

I am looking into maybe renting out some property I inherited, and learned something I'd be interested to know more about the pyschology of. I never really thought about it before, but some times people will move out of an apartment or dorm room and leave behind sentimental possessions such as trophies, photo albums, framed pictures, etc. All of that stuff has to get tossed, of course, in the cleaning of the place before the new occupant. That made wonder, for the people who come to clean up, do you ever look at the sentimental stuff like old trophies and family photo albums a former tenant has left behind before you toss them, or just toss them without paying attention to what it is? What's it like to toss items in the trash that normally everyone always saves?

When I was looking into becoming a landlord, I came across the laws about that, and it made me really wonder what having to do that must be like. So if you've done a job like that before, I'd love to hear what it was like

Not sure if anyone could really answer this for me, but here goes. I'm trying to get disability, and the landlord knew this before we moved in, and she even told me several places to try including Social Security, which I had already done. Well, just 2 weeks ago before July my husband got laid off from work, so there was no income coming in, and I tried calling her and telling her this, but she had told me she had just buried her brother. So, my husband applied for unemployment, and now we have to wait atleast 4 weeks for his check. Then on July 2nd we got a 3 day notice on our door, but when we looked at our receipt from last month, she had put that she received July's Rent and signed it, instead of putting June's Rent. So the question is; if we go to court will we have a case? I've tried looking up Ohio laws, but nothing really explains this. Can someone here help me??

Originally offered home at $286,00 with an agent. He offered to sell for 5% commision, but did not tel me he was dividing the cut at 2.5% and 2.5%. I asked a few agents, and they agreed, that the 2.5% commision versus the 3% might have discouraged some agents for showing my home.

I call agent tell him I want the buyers agents offered 3% so as not to losse showings. he RAISES the commision to 6% 3 and3!?!?!

I then start getting showings each and every day, but am sort of angered by agents greed. Yes, it is greed. I start getting offers on home as I dropped asking price all the way down to $269!

Now I do not want to sell my home and agent is having a freakin fit. Can I legally delist my home? His contract states I can end my listing at any time.

Other homes in the neighborhood (including the next door neighbor to the house we are looking at purchasing) show up on the site. It is a very well developed and reliable site. Are there any reasons why this home would not be listed?

Thanks!

we moved into an apartment a few months ago. half the time since we moved we have been misereable. the management and the maintenance stink. they have been here literally about 10 times to fix the ac. they have an excuse for the problem everytime. it's sunday and the ac broke, again. i have a 2 year old that is sick and running a fever. i know that when i call them all they are going to tell me is to move my family over the a show apartment (that never gets cleaned) until they can come fix the problem tomorrow. i'm so sick of this and i don't want to move my daughter due to her sickness. it's a huge inconvenience to us all. since this is a reoccuring problem that they have failed to fix the last 10 times that have been here can i call emergency ac repair and have the apt billed?

I am concerned. I am in the first stages of this situation and i called the bank the other day telling them i could no longer afford the payment. I would like to work out an afforable payment plan with them but i have my primary residence which has a quite a bit of equity and also another investment property which also has equity in it. i am concerned that they will want to secure the payment plan by possibly placing a lien or something on one of the properties and if i can not afford the pymnt in the future my biggest concern is them taking my own primary residence. also when i got the loan i think they are under the impression that the house that is going into foreclosure is my primary residence.

My wife places top priority on proximity to good schools and I am trying to find a place wiith a short commute to work.
We have one kid who will enter the school system next year (elem. school) so we absolutely need a good elem. school, and there is plenty of them close of work. My wife wants the house to have good middle schools as well, that will drive us a lot farther away from my work.

Do we need to worry about good middle schools now when we will need them 10 years down the road? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
P.S. we are looking in the Seattle east side area.
