We are trying to get info on this builder. He is buiding in the Sky Top Subdivision in Kingston, NY and probably elsewhere in Ulster and Dutchess County NY. We have tried to find a website but he doesn't have one. We even asked the realtor who has listed the homes but they have not answered us. We are wondering if this company is reputable and how we can get any and all info on him and the company.
Thanks!

I had ran into a very bad finacial situation last year. I lost my apartment cuz I wasnt able to afford it, I owe an electric bill and back rent from it all. It's been alil over a year and I am now getting notice about payments in the mail. I have been living with some friends for about 8 months now and I am saving money so me 'n my bf can get a plce together. (ohio).....My question is "Can I still rent a place in my name even tho this has happened only once"???? My bf is going to put the electric in his name so that is taken care of......but I dont know if a credit check being done will show that I have rent a place and I couldnt pay for it??? Anyone know how this works in life???

I do know that I need to pay these off as I am making payments little by little as much as I can, even tho most of my taxes are going to have to be a payment for this......But "Can I still rent in most cases like these/and most places or not????? I need to know asap as I am looking for a place to rent!?!?!?

Does it mean they have already lowered the price and that's as low as it is going to go? Or does it mean that they are willing to go lower?

Hello everyone,

I am really interested in buying a house soon (or a condo if I can't afford a house). I am not married, I have no dependents, I currently have a 690 FICO score, no debts, first time buyer, and I make 36,000 a year. Also, I don't have any cash for a down payment.

What kind of loans are available to me? What is the max I can spend? Any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated!

For pple who know real estate, please help me with this. I am wondering what steps I should follow to buy a house. Is this procedure correct?

1. Find the house - includes checking crime in area, school district, potential for property appreciation, etc.
2. Borrow money (from bank, etc. at the lowest interest rate) with the house as collateral.
3. Pay for the house in full.
4. Pay back the loan to the bank in installments over a number of years (e.g. 20-30 years).
5. Keep refinancing the loan when interest rates fall.

Could someone please explain refinancing in brief and also how often one should do it? Thanks for your help.

I'd like to give a reward to my clients who refer business to me. I've heard that you can do this up to $50 and still be RESPA compliant. Is that true?

Does anybody have suggestions on how to reward my referrers?
Does RESPA have any problem with me offering potential clients a discount on closing costs? How would you show this discount on a GFE and HUD?

Thanks.
