Try www.AffordableSearch.com. The apartments listed at the site have pictures and descriptions written by the property managers. You can contact them by e-mail to find out more about them. There is no fee for searching and no log-in required. The site is new and seeking more advertisers, but there are still hundreds of premium listings nationwide and thousands of classifieds. accounting for millions of apartments all told. These are not market rate apartments though, there is usually some sort of income guideline and/or subsidy formula. Good luck searching.

You can usually find Apartment Guides in grocery stores. They have all apartments listed and rates that they offer. Reputable ones you probably would know either by looking at them or have already lived in them to know if they are ok or not. You can always go online to Apartmentguide.com I think or Google it and it will bring things up!
