We are trying to get info on this builder. He is buiding in the Sky Top Subdivision in Kingston, NY and probably elsewhere in Ulster and Dutchess County NY. We have tried to find a website but he doesn't have one. We even asked the realtor who has listed the homes but they have not answered us. We are wondering if this company is reputable and how we can get any and all info on him and the company.

I have no idea, but wanted to say, you're doing good job, I've heard really nasty stuff about builders and how they suck the life out of you. good luck..

Check with the better business bureau and local chamber of commerce. The less information you find about them, the more sketchy they seem to be. Request references from the contractor. Ask to see work that they have done. Then judge their response. If they see apprehensive or offended, walk away. Why wouldn't you be proud to show of the work that they had performed? Or better yet call references provided and ask if you can see what the contractor did. And check more than one. Who is to say the reference they gave you isn't a relative?
