I want to start flipping houses, yesterday! I've read up on how many people started and it seems that they begin with money they had saved or profit made from selling their own home. Well, I can't sell my own home for another 4 years. I do have some savings but if I deplete my savings, I won't have money to fall back on to make mortgage payments while I am waiting for the house to sell. Therefore, my only other alternative (that I can think of) is to get a loan from the bank to buy a property. My concern is, what are the chances of making a profit from the sale, after I have paid the bank their money back with interest? Has anyone started out in the business like that and found it successful? Any other suggestions?

I brought a House in Bow (east London) two years ago. Since the olympic announcement it has increased in value by approx £50K. I am now wondering what is the best thing to do. Me and my wife are moving to Australia but want to keep a property in England. Should I keep the Bow property for further gains? Should I sell and buy a cheaper property in the UK and use the profit to buy in Aus? or should I just buy a bigger uk property with the profit and hope future rental will cover the mortgage? Hope this makes sense.

Our cellar has always been full of water. We are retiring to the seaside now. I'm thinking of calling the cellar a drought-proof water storage facility or should I install a diving board and describe it as an indoor swimming pool?

I just moved into my first apartment at 28 y.o in May. I fell in love with the brownstone because it was newly renovated with beatiful floors and excellent fixtures. My rent is 1100 and I have to pay for heat and gas. The problem is there are Mice. Mice everywhere. A neighbor called it a radical infestation. I am terrified of them. I sleep at my moms house 3-4 days out of the week because of them. I saw one come out of the closet and left my house at 3AM. Should I break my lease, put my stuff in storage, move back home and save money for 6-8 months so I can put money down on a brownstone? I feel like I'm going backwards.

Mold in the bathroom, water is pouring through the insulation onto the ground from the pipes under the house. We have 2 bathrooms, but we are only able to use one. He will not repair the bathroom,so we can use it. I have called the health department about this, but they can't check on anything, but the water leaking into the road. I can't afford to move out and I'm scared that if I take legal action we will be evicted. Please Help!!

My husband and I are getting divorced. he left me with bills I can't afford. I'm in danger of losing my home and I know I can afford to pay on the mortgage itself and the utilities with only my income but I couldn't possibly afford a second mortgage payment too. I've been thinking of bankruptcy because he has everything behind and I am in debt I never knew existed. Is there any way for me to keep thje house without paying 2 mortgages? Any suggestions?

The infrastructure, essential amenities and facilities in Pune are on the verge of collapse. Roads are pathetic, pollution is terrible, electric supply is erratic, public transport totally inadequate, connectivity is poor and travelling a nighmare, weather is worsening day by day, traffic is haphazard, greenery is vanishing and there are hardly any public facilities like gardens and parks. The prices of real estate are too high and not commensurate with the Quality of Life. Why are people ready to pay so much? Are they getting value for their money? Are the prices just hyped up due to speculation or are they genuine? Will the prices of real estate in Pune fall in the near future once people realise they are not getting value for money in terms of quality of life?
