There are reasons to rent instead of own.
- sometimes it costs less per month to rent
- if you're not going to be in that town for more
than 2-3 years, it might be better to rent
- if you can't qualify for a decent loan, but
someone is willing to rent to you
- if there is a "glut" of rental properties (like
in San Antonio right now) and the rent prices
are down
- if you're checking out a city to see if you like
it there
Of course, with large dogs, it may be hard to find a place that's nice. But then, with the large dogs, maybe they're used to renting places that are willing to rent to large dogs. Everything in life is a trade-off.
