My wife and I have never lived in our own home because our credit has been bad. There has got to be a better way than to keep throwing our money away on rent. If anybody has any ideas please help. Thanks.

I relocated a few months ago cross country with my employer and have realized it was a mistake. I have been offered a fantastic job back where I came from and have decided to go back. However i was able to purchase my dream home where I am now and am torn if I should rent it or just sell it or hold onto it for a bit to see how well it appreciates. Any relevant opinions are welcome. Thank you.

I have found a manufactured home for sale but it is for sale by the owner. They are only asking for 24000 and to me it don't sound to bad. What should I be aware of when an owner is selling? I have never bought a home before I have always been stuck in the renting trap and I was wondering what steps I should take? And are there certain lenders that I could use?

I purchased a house 2 years ago and asked for an appraisal of my home at closing. To my knowledge, it was never sent to me. I've tried to contact the loan officer i worked with to see if she would have a copy of it in their records. She will not answer or return my calls. I need to have it by Sunday if at all possible. Does anyone know if my loan officer would have the appraisal in the first place, or do I need to enquire about it somewhere else?

So I came home from a business trip and had no water in my house. I called the company that I rent from, and they called me today at work and said that they are turning it back on, but it was turned off becuase i didn't put the water in my name and pay for it. the same thing with the gas. Ok, i signed a contract saying that ALL untilities are paid for, and i need only pay for cable or internet if i want it. So when i pulled out my contract they said that the person who wrote up the contract was fired after i began renting and they want me to come sign a new one now stating that i must pay for everything separate! Can you believe that!? So i told them that if they refuse to negotiate price, i will be moving out. They said that I have to pay the money fpor breaking the lease. how can they hold me to a lease if the lease is void? Should i negotiate a new price to live there with or should i try to find somewhere else to live?

We are looking at an apartment complex, and they told us that they force all of their tenants to get renters insurance. We thought this was a good idea and therefore a good complex, but we have also seen online ratings that talk about tentants getting their places broken into within the apartment. Like 4 out of 10 tentants complained about this online. Is this a bad sign, and do you think by doing this the apartment is covering themselves so they won't be liable for any thefts?

I moved into my apt this past March. I have struggled every single month to make the rent. Three months ago the rent check bounced, the next month the rent was paid late. Finally in Oct I couldn't pay the rent at all. My rental office said if I broke my lease they would take me to court. They suggested I find someone to sublet it to. I asked about a repayment plan and was told to make up my own and submit it for their approval. I did that but have gotten no feedback from them and worse yet I find that I am unable to honor the repayment agreement. I misplaced my lease months ago, I asked for a copy but was told it wasn't their policy to provide copies so I honestly don't know my rights. One option is not to renew my lease in March, since I was required to pay 2 last months rent when I moved in Jan and Feb's rent would be covered but that still would leave what I owe for Oct, Nov & Dec. What can I do? Do I even have any options?

My fiancee and I are building our first home. I am extremely new to real estate, I have little knowledge about it. I am concerned because our home does not have a dining room. It has a kitchen with a breakfast nook. We don't have a problem with that, but I am afraid we won't be able to sell the home years down the road because of it. Any advice? What's more important - a living room or a dining room?

i mean, ive looked at furnished and unfurnished properties on the web and how are they different apart from the price range,
because i was looking at UNFURNISHED properties and they come with the cooker, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, wardrobes, some of them even a bed, and fully decorated,

how is that unfurnished??? i dont get it, i already have my bed fridge, dishwasher etc.. so if i wanted to move (which i do) what do i do with my stuff, i dont want to use somone elses stuff and then have nothin if i moved again.
i thought unfurnished meant i could move my own stuff in there and decorate how i liked it,
does anyone know anything about this and could you explain it to me
i.e how it all works, the rules etc
thanks for your help

My wife and I are buying a commercial property with 8 apartments, and will be living in one of them. We have read that there are tax benefits to making our own corporation and listing my wife as an employee of it so that the profits will go towards her social security eligibility and we will also save on taxes.

Is there anyone else out there who has done this before and knows the process? Are there any advantages or disadvantages that could help us make the decision? Any expert advice is appreciated. Thank you.
