I am currently renting a room but my roomates are load and obnoxious. Financially I can offord and apartment, but it will be a struggle. I have debts to pay (Ex. Student Loans, Credit Cards). A room is good for me, but I am sick and tired of living with other people. What do you think I should do?

Ok We are renting a trailer here, Now, we took this place because we really needed it, as at the time we were homeless. Everyone wanted 1st, last month and deposit but we live paycheck to paycheck and this guy said that he would skip the deposit if we agreed to pay by the week and pay 'a little extra'. WITH the deposit, our rent would have been $700 a month but without it is $225 a week (add that up... 900 a month, for a freakin trailer lol) and my husband only makes like $300 a week! It is KILLING US we can't afford it, we HAVE to move! It wouldn't be so bad if it was only til the deposit was paid but no, it is for as long as we live here.Problem is we can't afford to move because most all of his paycheck goes to this landlord every week.
We don't have a written lease with him, and that was a big issue when he left us here with no fridge for a week 1/2.
So I am wondering if anyone here sees any way at all out of this situation? Either legally or otherwise?

My parents are in the process of buying a house. Everything was going good untill we got a copy of the home owners assosiation rules and it says there are NO pets of any kind allowed. Well after walking around the condo complex we noticed many of the owners have cats. And we've talked to a few of the other owners, and they said they are ok with cats, but not with dogs.
Well my parents have a dog, and the real estate agents we were going through are well aware of this. The other issue is they received a 30 day notice in May, but because they were in the process of buying the house, and he knows the real estate ppl he is letting them stay through escrow, but has said that if it doestn't work out, or when there out of escrow there out.

so my question is, if escrow falls through over the pet thing, do my parents have any rights to sue? Or if we do buy the house, then the hoa rejects them can they sue?

I am new at rental management. My tentant siged a 1 year lease beginning June 1st. He paid both on time with a postal money order. He has not paid July rent. He sent me an email and apologized that he had a "financial emergency" and would pay as soon as possible (no exact date, though.) I didn't do a credit check (stupid, I know) and I don't have a good feeling. How long should I wait before I filing the eviction paperwork?

I'm wanting to lease one of my bedrooms to a college student and I need your opinions. Would you pay $375 per month for a bedroom with cable, internet access, kitchen use, full bathroom, and all utilities included (with the exception of phone service)?

I have the deed, there is a deed of trust recorded, there is a 30 year mortgage (27 years remaining), low monthly payments & a low finance rate.

Do I have to get the mortgager's permission to sell, or can I sell it to pay off the mortgage (while hoping to make a profit)?

I'd rather not go through a real estate agent, but will potential buyers not be interested because of the deed of trust? Do I have to satisfy the deed of trust first before I can sell the house?

All input appreciated. Thank you!

Are there any tax consequences from buying a smaller & less expensive house that was bought within the year. We sold our first house that was built in the 70's, when homes were less expensive, so made a profit. I believe we can take a one-time tax write-off on the profit. After paying the commission & advertising costs we would like to sell our present house for the price we bought it six months ago. The home is too large for us (2 people) & takes too much upkeep. We want to down-size without paying any profit/loss. We'll have to house-hunt, re-pack & move everything & unpack again, but wonder if there will be any large monetary expenses involved.

my home was sold at pub auction 7/4/06, TX. yes, was in default. yes, should have done more, sooner. hindsight 20/20. however, i did keep in contact with lender via 1800#'s over last few months. made 1st pymt arrangement of 4K. forsaw probs with making 2nd pymt of 2.5K-called lender..told to do my best. i could not make pymt..broke plan..goes active FC. On 7/3 I call for options to try to save home. given options and due to miracle (GOD), $$ was avail. via family-would allow for me to reinstate my loan and/or purchase back the full amount of the loan-whatever it would take. things start looking up (so i thought). this csr also stated (3 times) auction set for 7/5 NOT 7/4 b/c of holiday.

on 7/5 @ 7a.m. i call to confirm $$ needed, where to take, etc...told home sold on 4TH. WHAT????

i believe extreme carelessnes and/or blatant dishonesty of csr communication/info. is now dictating a HUGE chunk of my future well-being. do i have any rights here, now, future? pls someone help.

Where can I get all of these for the cheapest?

I am moving into an apartment and I need to know anything and everything about these services and what I need.

Who should I turn to? How much are they going to charge up front? Do I get a seperate bill from my rent or is it all included?

Who do I call when I move in? What other bills besides rent, electric and cable services am I going to have to deal with? The apartments I am moving into are all bills paid except electric.

What do I need?
