I filed for bankruptcy a year and a half ago due. I am current on my bills. I make about $65k a year. I filled out an application with Countrywide 2 weeks ago and never heard back. I have left the loan officer several messages. I'm guessing it was denied but i never recieved any type of notification. I only have about a 5% downpayment. Is it still possible to get qualified for a loan with less than perfect credit?

I just became a part of the credit union (offered through my college) because I am originally from another state and I can't get my deposits directly deposited for yet another number of weeks. My other bank isn't a credit union, but it also uses Visa debit cards. I just received the one from the credit union in the mail today and it stated that after I activate it, the possible other existing cards will be deactivated. Does this count my other debit card that isn't from this same banking system? The person that set me up with it didn't bring up there'd be a problem.. he didn't even ask me if I had another debit card. Neither of my banks are open right now so I can't even call and ask this question!

example. i get paid one week, then my fiancee gets paid the next. so every week, someone is geting a check. should we each take one check out of the month and use it completely to pay bills. and the other 2 checks use them for saving and miscellaneous expenses. the benefit of that would be that i have a larger sum of money on hand. the negative is that after paying bills we would be short on cash. or is it better to pay bills using all 4 checks. then i woulld have money left over. example- $200, $200, $100, $100.

I'm currently at Key Bank and am having serious issues with them. After mentioning this to several people, I guess they're a really BAD bank to be with (I haven't heard one good thing).
My grandma (who often makes deposits into my account - yay grandma!) suggested that I switch to Chase bank (her bank - would make it easier to transfer money haha). Does anyone know anything about Chase bank that would be helpful in making this decision, or any other bank for that matter? I intend to thoroughly do my research this time, instead of going to a bank because it's giving out free iPods with their accounts...though I'm honestly not surprised they had to resort to that with their terrible service!
Thanks in advance!

So here is the classic dilemma. I loaned some money to a close relative of mine (my aunt) and she promised to pay me back as soon as she got some money coming to her. My uncle had some money coming from his job so my aunt promised to pay me back in six months. It has been now close to two years and all I hear is the endless list of excuses how the money is not enough and she is waiting for this and waiting for that. So the question is how to deal with someone like that.? How do I ask her to pay up? How stern should I be? Any advice about the future regarding money lending to family. How should I determine who to loan (if they ask) and how much to loan? Banks have credit score to check and hundreds of analysts. What can I do? Should I just refuse everyone in the future?

BTW, legal action is not really an option. The loan amount was aroun $2000 and yes I didn't get her to sign anything.

I found two places where I would possibly like to order from, but I just want to make sure it's safe and they are reputable websites. The first is Checks In The Mail, and I heard about ordering checks from Wal-Mart. Has anyone ever ordered from the two I mentioned?
