Ive missed quite a few credit card payments about 7 total about 2 years ago and I am in the process of raising my credit score. So will I be considered sub prime for the entire 7 year period until those late payments no longer appear or will just raising my credit score bring me out of subprime.

2 years ago my credit score was 460 now its 639 I havent had late payments on anything since then. I just wanna buy a house in 2-3 years I would like to know when will i not be considered subprime. is it when my credit score reaches or certain number or what????

anyone with info on what sub prime really is I would appreciate it!

I financed a brand new convertible last year. The payments were a little high, but I could afford them. 2 months ago, I was laid off of my job. I recently found a job( actually working two jobs) but I am having extreme difficulty paying the car, I never expected to be laid off and now I am having trouble making the payments and I am racking up late charges. I want to sell it but I owe more thousands of dollars more than the car is worth. I need ADVICE!!!!

I could set invest 250k to be managed by a company. If I were more conservative, I could put in 67K. I have been approached by AIG VALIC company, but I have read bad reviews about them. I'll be retiring in 6 months, and I need something that is fairly conservative.

I gave them my debit card number to use maybe two times for one pizza each time....they said they would pay me back.....Then, a few months later, I get my statemtn and see that I overdrew......I looked at the details and saw that the person had used my card to buy a lot of stuff.....including pizza and phone cards......adding up to about $400......I can prove that I wasn't the one purchasing because the transactions were all made in Georgia, and I live in Chicago Illinois....This was one year ago...and the person kept saying that they were gonna pay me back but still haven't done so to this day...What can I do to get my money back?

and are you penalised in some way if you cancel? I had 5 and just took on another for the great balance transfer deal. I haven't used 3 of the old cards for ages. If I cancel them would this be held against me in credit scoring terms? On the other hand does having six cards count against you?

If you leave a job and go someplace else, is it okay to just leave your account there with the old job? Is there a time frame when you should remove it, and place it at your new job? Also, you wouldn't be putting money in it anyway, or would you have to have an agreement with your last employer??

Hello, my sister is due to have a baby in 2 weeks and we live in nyc, she was wondering which is the best way to save for a college for her new born.
she has mentioned a few options like a ny state sponsedred 529 plan.

and also mentioned ING direct which is a personal savings account with a apy of 4.00 percent.

and then you have a roth ira that she can open up for herself and use the savings from that plan to pay for her childs school.

what are the pros and cons of these and also which will yeild the most bang for the money, and also less going towards taxes and more towards me.

i am also open to hear any other options you might have from other savings. THANK YOU SO MUCH

I'm 25 I live at home with my dad, My mom and brother died in the last 4 years. I take care of all of my dad's financial stuff for him and do grocery shopping and pay his bills. (with his own money) He can not handle doing that type of stuff on his own. I work at K-mart and make 10.00 an hour. I have a b/f who has no money saved up, however i do have about 5k because my dad makes me pay no bills but I have my own, like car & credit cards etc. My dad is real deprssed because of our family members dyeing, so i dont want to move out nor do I think I will make it on my own. I have high school education. Will I ever be happy? It seems like i will only be happy if i win the lottery!

I have a 1st mortgage of $125K. I have an equity line ran up to $50K. First is on a fixed 6.75% 30 year. Equity line is on a variable rate can't recall what it is at the moment. We want to combine the two loans into one 15 year loan. Is this feasible or reasonable to do? I saw at bankrate.com that one lender was giving 15 year fixed at 4.5%. Can you get a 10 year fixed? Or even a 5 year fixed? I "might" consider the 10 but didn't find any rate quotes on a 10 year fixed and not sure if the rate is much better than the 15 year fixed. Can someone tell me the best route to go with this? I'm not too knowledgeable about refinancing and am trying to learn what I should look out for yada, yada, yada. All help greatly appreciated!! thanks, Ken
