Approx:
full time is usually 37.5 hours per week.
£25,000/12 months/4weeks = £480 per week
£480/37 hours= £12 per hour
25hours x £12 = £300 per week
£300 x 4 = £1200 per month
£1200 x 12 months = £14,400

Pro-rata means 'in proportion'..
So (as others have said) 25k a year is £2,083 per month.
If the 'normal' working week is indeed 37.5hrs but you only work 25 hrs, then your get 25/37.5 * £2083 = £1,389 (approx) per month.
Then you get Taxed on it ....
NB. Your Annual Salary (in UK) is divided by 12 and paid equally each month .... so calculating weekly is going to mess up the monthly results ..

25000*25/37.5/12=1388.88 pound a month gross.
Assuming a normal working week of 37.5 hours.
Should the full time be 40 week than the monthly salary is a bit less. To be exact:-
25000*25/40/12=1303pound a month gross.
Don't forget you have to pay NHS and taxes on it.
