I'm interested in using it's services but would like to know that it's not all just a big scam. Has anyone used it (either a borrower or a lender)?

It is not a scam. I have been a small lender since April 2007. I am about to bid on my seventh loan in a few days. I received monthly payments (principal and interest). Check out their site a little closer especially in the public media section.

I'm a borrower, but things have changed since I first got my loan. I was able to get a loan pretty fast, and my credit isn't that good. My friend recently tried to get one, but couldn't get past the registration part because her credit wasn't good enough, and her credit is better than mine. I think they got a lot stricter on their policies, but they are definitely not a scam.

No, they seem to be legit but............depending upon where you live (Texas for me), your State legislature may have "capped" the amount of interest they will allow a company life Prosper to charge so you will find NO LENDERS that will loan you money at the interest rate allowed.

Good Luck.

No its not a scam. It does work. But you need really good credit to get a loan from there.
