can anyone in bk,ny or queens ,ny recommend a bank that wont kill me w/ charges since i do not maintain a $2000 to $3000 balance in my checking account? i refuse to continue w/ BOA if this is how they treat long time customers. does anyone else agree? maybe customers need to stop using there atm cards for one day like ppl that dont buy gass on a set day so they can see the drop in oil prices maybe this can be done w/ banks to try & decrease these outragous charges. what do u think??? p.s i chose not to do my banking online, its just my personal choice.

See I have these clothes and shoes that I really like. The problem is my mom is too much of a cheap stake to buy me anything name brand. So my question is how can you make a lot of money when you are only a 14 year old boy?

I went to craigslist and searched for somebody who could help me with my taxes. I contacted this lady and she is willing to help me. So, I trusted her. I gave all my receipts, bank account statements, and other important bills. At first, our communications are ok. She even went to our place and introduces her kids and talked about her life. Then, I paid her $250. I made a mistake, I did not get any receipt from her. Well, at least she's still communicating through email telling me the book is ready and she will gave it to me in a few days. When I got back from vacation, I can't get hold of her already. I left a lot of messages, but no response. It is already 2 months and the tax filing extension will be on Oct 15. My plan is to go to her house and get all my documents. my concerns are: is it safe? what if she will say she lost everything because of this and that? what will I do? Can I bring her to court? How? Please help me!!!

What would you do? I am 21 years old. I have a car debt of $16,000, credit card debt of $5,000, rent, car maint., bills, etc. I do not know how to get out. I pay bills and still cant get ahead. I feel like this is it for me. My credit score is in the low 300. What do I do? How do I get out? What would you do? I tried selling my car but they only want to give $12,000 for it when I know it is worth more than that... So how do I get out of debt?

We don't have any debt, but we don't have a lot in savings. I'm going to have a baby in a month, so I certainly can't get a job right now. Even if I had someone to keep my toddler, no one would hire me, not for enough money to cover daycare for two and have money left over.

I'm so depressed. My husband loves his job, but they thought they'd have lots of overtime for him. It didn't work out that way. I do NOT want to go into credit card debt.

I don't expect anyone to have answers for me, I just wanted to send my troubles out into the universe, in hopes it would be theraputic to write it down. Thanks.

I set up an account that has an age limit on it for savings purposes. I set the age that i could have the money to 25, of which i am now 20. I have managed to save almost 30,000 bux, and my mother is the co-signer on the account. But lately, my parents have hidden the account statements from me, and yell at me when i ask for them. They have also been buying items that far exceed their income level. They have bought two older cars, all new furniture and even a new big screen tv. I have talked to the bank but they cannot let me access the account since it is in my mother's name, but transfered to me when i turn 25. Is there anything i can do? Should i turn to the police or seek legal advice? I live in ontario canada, any advice would be great.

Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, I am planning to open a savings account (hopefully for her college) for our child as soon as possible... I am wondering what's the best plan to do it? What should I check? Should I name the account on my name or to my child's name? Any information you can give will be helpful. Thanks in advance

Will I be able to get either a debit, or a credit card so I can shop online? Will I be able to write checks? Will I recieve checks?

In May of 2003, my husband and I bought a house. We got an 80/20 loan to cover the cost. 80% of the loan is a fixed 5.25% rate. 20% of the loan started at 6.25% and currently sits at 9.25&. The loan is going to readjust next May. Is the 20% loan considered a second mortgage? How can I refinance it now and get a reasonable rate? My husband and I have near-excellent credit.

How many months past due to you have to be for an auto to get repossessed? I am having trouble with my financing company because they lost a payment that cleared my bank. Now they are showing me past due and they do nothing to find the payment. They just keep leaving the amount on my account and attaching late fees. I get nowhere when I call customer service. Each CS rep says they will look into it and then they never do. I got fed up and just keep making payments as usual.. showing one month past due. Can they repossess my auto for only one month past due? Thank you.

i want something risk free [no stock markets] that will gradually build up more and more interest.
obviously a savings account isnt going to yield much interest, so im looking for something much more than that, and have heard that CD's have very good interest rates.
can i get a CD for such a small amount?
i am willing to not touch the money for a while if need be.

Hi. My home equity loan is an interest only adjustable and I am currently paying something like 7.02 (I have a rate of 1.25 below prime). I also have credit card debt on two cards, but they are fixed at 4.02 and 4.99. I know its usually better to not have the credit card debt, but since the rates are fixed and lower than my heloc, should I work on paying the heloc off first (I owe twice as much on my heloc as I do on my credit cards). Thanks.
