Sorry, it's just everyone talks about it and I have no idea how they differ. How is it better getting an allowance rather than pocket money!

Hi guys, my mother and her brother inherited a home from their mother and my uncle wishes to sell, actually he sold the home yesterday. My mother is in a nursing home and the monies will go to the state and/or the nursing home if she does not disavow her inheritence. I do not have power of attorney for her and am her only child. Is it to late to put the paper work thru for the dis- inheitence?

I was the plaintiff in a civil case and lost the jury trial.

The defense lawyer won so therefore filed a motion for attorney fees in excess of $100,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Is there a chance the judge grant this? The case was in Los Angeles County.

The facts of the case:

It was NOT a frivilous case. The damage we were seeking was less than $5000. T

The defense won because their lawyer played dirty. They erased video tape of the incident. They hid witnesses for years. They filed motion after motion for 3 years delaying the trial. I mean the defense lawyer provided an evidence the day of the trial for god sakes!!!!!!!!

I did choke on the witness stand and contridicted some of the facts but I was nervous but I was pretty consistent with the facts otherwise.

So anyone think I end up having to pay this $100,000 in attorney's fees? If so I would become destitute!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I babysit a lot :D. I don't want to buy clothes, and I already have an ipod. I could save up a bit more, but not anything too expensive, and nothing like "your wedding day" or "college". Something that I could get in the present :)

I’m looking into moving out of my parent’s house and I wanted some advice before I do it and totally screw myself over. I am currently working 2 jobs at aprox 48 hours a week and attending college part time. I am looking to find a roommate and most places that rent in my area include utilities with rent so I’m looking at about 350-450 on rent and utilities I have a car that I have a loan out on so I am paying 315 a month for insurance about 120 on gas 65 on my phone bill and I have about 500 dollars in credit card debt from school and unexpected expenses and I make 1600 after taxes 2000 gross and after I budget it leaves me with about 100 dollars a week to spend or save

Back in 2000 when I was 21 years old after just I blew my entire savings of $11,000, I knew I made a horrible mistake.

If I had to go through that time and so forth all over again being physically being 21 but knowing everything I know now at 28 and as some people around me advised that I should get that 1998 white Camaro with 24K miles because it's reliable, I would DEFINTIELY laugh in their faces now and tell them they've gotta be out of their God-damn minds and must think I'm an indiot if I'm just gonna blow my enitre savings of $11,000 away. I would ask them what the hell I'm doing on these new car lots and have them take me to a private seller and get a car for as cheap as $3000, keep $1,000 for tools and repairs, have fun with $1,000 on beer, girls, strip clubs, etc., and keep $6,000 in my bank and not even touch it.

That what I would've done had I known what I know now.

What would you think of my much better financial decision.
I WOULD'VE STILL HAD OVER $5,000!

The year was 2000 just days before 2001. I was 21, soon to turn 22. I spent years being a miser always doing nothing but saving, saving, and saving my money never spending it on anything pretty much. I then worked long, hard hours at a McDonald's to earn the other half of this saved-up money. I had a total of $11,000, so $5,500 was from being a miser for years and the other $5,500 was from butting my as$ working at McDonald's through all the misery of working at a job like that. I had no debts. I had no credit history. I was a college student just starting out on that long 2-year road to getting my degree. I had $11,000 saved up, and in just one move, just like that, I blew it all on a car that cost a little more than what I had. I didn't have a real job, by the way. I couldn't afford this. I should've spent no more than $3,000 on an older car.

I couldn't afford to blow all of my money away.
I worked much too hard to save up what I had saved up.
