Most Banks say 'no' to 2 personal accounts = they worry that you might get double the overdraft :-)

You could open a Business Account (and get charged for it) or go to another Bank...

(I would advise anyone to have at least 2 Bank accounts - even if one only has a few pounds in it you never know when you might need it ... eg. after loosing your wallet, getting your ID stolen or the Bank deciding to 'freeze' your account for some random reason .)

I imagine you can. I have two identical accounts with the Woolwich although they aren't cash accounts. In my case it's unavoidable but if possible, I would suggest you try to manage your eBay selling and your main account together. With two accounts you may be liable to two sets of bank charges. Also if one of the accounts goes into the red you will be charged interest on it even if, collectively, you are in the black.
