I had a part time job. During that time, I found out how nice it was to have my own money. I quit in October and have officially run out of money.. nothing was saved for University texts or tuition. I have a Health Internship this summer and will earn a flat fee of 2000 dollars - is there any way to keep the money from ever reaching my hands? I've suggested my parents set up a savings account from me that I can't access, but there might be better ways that actually teach me to save, instead of constantly spending on frivolous things.. I hate that I do, but I can't seem to stop. Any suggestions that could help me save for my future? I'm 16 right now, and have an (empty) chequeing account with my bank.

The IRS says that I owe a balance that I do not, they have miscalculated and mis-applied money they owe me to years that I owed them nothing rather than apply the money they owe me to years that I owe them. I have refused to pay them till they accept the correct balance. Now I have notice of a levy. Will they stop the levy at this point if I make monthly payment arrangements with them? What is the best step to take at this point?

What are some typical things high school students pay for? And about how much do they cost?
My friend gets a monthly of money and she is trying to figure out how much she needs.
So if anyone can list things that a typical high school studenty would have to pay for like a yearbook, clothes, etc. that would be great!
Also if anyone can include the average amount to play soccer for the high school.

Don't waste your time or mine by answering with "borrow from family" or "go to your bank", etc.

I have a few ideas for businesses that I would like to start, but it seems like every avenue I explore to borrow money turns out to be a dead end. Forget about borrowing from banks and family. What are some less than common borrowing methods I can consider? I checked with the SBA, they no longer lend money, and the only grants they can assist you in getting seem to be for environmental causes. I checked into numerous venture capital companies, but they all seem to be interested only in information technology ventures. I've considered forming a private corporation and selling stock in it to private investors, but I don't know if I'd be able to find enough investors. Also, I'm afraid I'd the investors would be breathing down my neck all the time and trying to tell me how to run the corporation. Anyone have any worthwhile thoughts on all of this?

I just am afraid they will take everything out of my checking account and my mom wont have her socail security money. what can i do if anything?

I do not make enough money to pay off all my debts in one -two years. In total, my credit card debt is $4,400. I rent, and have no savings except for my 401K.

Would it be smart to borrow from my 401K?
