does ayone out there try to pay their british gas bill on line, I keep trying and I check days later and I owe

I assume you are going into your BANK ACCOUNT (on-line) and making an 'instant' Payment (usually 'Pay Bills' or 'Transfer Money' or some such) ???

If so, you need to wait 3 to 5 days before checking your GAS ACCOUNT on-line (it takes that long for the payment to be "processed" :-) )

If it does not show up after 5 days you need to check your Bank account & double check the details - do you have sufficient funds available ? ('Available Balance')

Most accounts allow you to set a DATE for the Bill payment = if the money has NOT been taken out of your account, maybe you set 27 JULY instead of 27 JUNE for example ?

If the money HAS been taken out, then double check the correct GAS account no. (maybe you have been paying some-one else's Gas bill :-) )

OR .. just send them a Cheque :-)
