hey i just turned 19 years old and i was wondering if a 620 credit score was good for someone of my age.... i have 2 credit cards that i use only 2 or 3 times a week and i pay them off every month when i recieve the statement and on my credit report it shows that the accounts are all in good standing, and are never late. So is my score typical and is my score to low to get a gas credit card?

I had a medical bill that I thought had been payed. Apparently, it's been on my credit report for 6 years with a collection agency and I never knew about it. Should I try to pay off the debt with the collection agency now, or just wait one more year for it to fall off?

based on a wrong balance or financial hardship. This is for a car "voluntary surrender". Orig price 12000, I made 5600 in payments, they sold under book value for 4600. I was 3wks late on a payment from stipulation. they got judgement for 10,000. did not give me creit for $700 of payments. wages being garnished. If I Paid the 10k they will have recieved 21,000 for a 12k car. if this legal. Went through Ford Fairlane credit.
If u can go back to court for this ...where might I find the forms. new york State

I have an unpaid credit card from about 5 years ago. I was very irresponsible then, but now, I don't know which credit card it was or how to contact them. Does it ever go away and if so, how long. I've heard 7 years, but I'm not sure.

the amt owed is always a different number (I'm supposing tacked on fees etc...). Initially the debts were about $3000 on each card ...now they are showing up 6 and 7000. From what i can tell there are 2 collection agencies trying to collect on the same debt on one of them. i have never responded to any of the agencies in any matter. My credit report is skewed with inaccuracies based on these credit agencies. ie....the dates show up as when the agency takes on the debt., amounts vary etc... The question is what to do. I was going through a tough time...divorce etc...but i am now in a position to pay off everything.

I posted a question last week that I recieved very good responses on. The problem now is my mom went to a Bankruptcy Lawyer to get information on filing bankruptcy. I asked the lawyer when I was there about my Capitol One credit card bill for $3000+ she claims there is no statue of limitations on sueing and garnishing wages. Especially when companies buy your debt from them. They can try and take you to court at anytime. Is this actually true??? Also she says that even though I'm paying money on certain debts if its not what the debtor's want from you they can still garnish your wages for more. I'm major confused. Here was my origional question....

I went through a bad divorce, and it destroyed my credit. I have been rebuilding it for some time. I currently have a student loan very current and have an auto loan with a perfect payment record. My score was at won time down to 430, and I currently am up to 575. I am looking to get a credit card to use monthly and pay off each month in order to further rebuild, but it seems that every company out there is a credit card pirate company. I would even not mind opening a secured account, but the fees for so many of these companies are just ridiculous.

Does anyone know of a unsecured or secured credit card company to recommend?
