Also i want it to have a good limit..NO annual fee............and also am curious to exactly what a finance charge is... they all say $1.........if i pay off the balance every month that wont take effect right..........and what kinda apr should be acceptable for me to take... is 8.99% good enough.. jus some info cause i want to build my credit

You need credit in today's society. People who say they never had a credit card does not mean they never used credit. Unless you buy your house with cash, you are using a form of credit. With no credit history, it will be pretty hard to get a APR that low. Look at capital one, they have good introductory rates but be careful if you are late once they'll jack your rate super high for a year. Most people start they're credit file with a store card like Sears or JC Penny's. Gas cards are usually a good starter card for people with no credit file.

Actually there are credit cards out there that are specifically designed for college students like yourself. I was actually looking at some for myself and I came across this site that lists quite a few good student credit cards.

8.9% with no credit?? Good luck, be happy if you can pull 14.9 without fees. Go to Visa.com and use their wizard. This will help you determine which card is best for you. Make sure you create positive credit, this is a very big deal!

You don't need credit cards... pay with cash. I agree with the other poster check out http://www.daverasmey.com He has written some books on the subject.

Also check out http://www.savingadvice.com for some good ideas to get your financial house in order.
