today i recive a letter saying that i had won some money.in this letter there was a check. i took the check to a bank.and had them check it out.the banker told me after calling around that the check was a fraud check.if i had put it in my account they would have took there money and any money i had in my account.so how do it get them for fraud.

this happens all the time to people, u have to be more aware! if it is too good to be true--then it is! u know u didnt apply for anything or buy a ticket for a prize, why would someone send u free money?? just know for the future that u dont believe the letters, turn them in the police or throw them away!

Turn the letter, envelope and the check over to your states attorney general.

you don't - the check was not cashed and therefore there was no crime and plus the fact it probably came from a fictitious source and mailing address . Let it drop and thank your lucky stars that you were diligent and smart enough to check first .
