A General Manager for a manufacturer has gone to our distributors and asked for our contact details.

Is he allowed to do this?

I am not trying to be petty but the company i work for need to know whether he can just have this info.

My old driving instructor ran off with my money but the company he worked for said because of the data protection act they couldnt tell me where he lived so i could instruct a solicitor.

I am 40 years old and would like to change career and go into teaching. I would not like to teach in a school but prefer to teach adults or mature students in numeracy and/or literacy, in perhaps a college. I do not want to spend years at university gaining qualifications, since I have already graduated, although I don't mind spending another 6 or 12 months.

Can anyone suggest what type of job role I could go into & where I could work, along with salary expectations?

Also, at present, I am personal tutor where I teach students on a one to one basis, and have several years experience of that. The problem I am having with that at the moment is that I cannot get many students on my books, although I do advertise regularly in my local newspaper. Can anyone suggest of a better method of advertising regarding this?

Thanks

I'm interested to know what you understand by the term "Lifelong Learning" and whether you feel it's important to you personally.

Imagine there's a great course at the local college or Adult Ed that would help in your career. What would stop you from doing it?

How do you define "Hapiness"? Some people get happiness seeing other people suffer. Everyone has different definations of happiness, but what is the MOST common defined "Happiness"? Some people get happy seeing their wealth grow and multiply. Some people get happy helping others physically, emotionally or financially. Some people feel happy being getting married. I need to know your answer.

i have been at my present job as a teacher's assistant for 8.5 years, at this present job we work with toddlers with special needs. I recently got offered a job as an infant teacher working with typical children. My dilemma is that at my present job I only earn 10.69 an hour but have benefits, MANY paid days off, and EXTREME flexibility from my boss. At the new job, I would only have 6 paid holidays off a year, and would be earning 12.00 an hour, i would have benefits but not the flexibility that i currently have. I am also currently continueing my education but at my present job i am not offered the opportunity to become a teacher.

I applied for a position at Safeway. Two weeks later they call me up and ask if Im still interesteed in the job. And I said yes then they set an interview for the next day at 11 am but i couldnt go cause i planned on having school so i moved it to 4 pm. But the next day it ended up snowing so school was cancelled. So i got ready for the interview at 4 pm and at the last minute they cancelled and said they had to move it to next week but they didnt have a time or day set. Now im wondering should I call them back and set one or should I wait until they call me back. If I call them back what should i say or ask.
