A friend accepted a job 4 months ago; he resigned his previous job in good terms. The job he accepted was not a good fit. My friend and the company decided that it was best for him to leave. So he asked his former employer if he could go back to work. Former employer accepted. If he is offered another position (another company), will it be a wise move to accept it? If he stays with his current employer he will not advance professionally.

I defaulted on an agreement to make payments to a creditor on behalf of an outstanding medical bil. The creditor took me to court last year and settled an agreement to make payments for the medical bill. I payed off half while employed. I went into default of the agreement since I have been unemployed for the year. They took me back to court and the judge order a judgement against me. I have a retail job working less that 30 hours a week making less that 9 hourly. What are my options?

Two months after closing the owner of a window and blind company called and said he was going to place a lien on the property if the builder doesn't pay the invoice. The blinds were installed 6 days after closing and was included in the purchase agreement. the contract for the blinds was between the builder and the owner of the business and I never signed a thing between the business owner. Since its the Builders debt, I don't see how my house can have a lien placed on it, what's next the lumber used, bricks and lights?

I put $1000 in a flexible spending account at my new job. I know I am getting braces in Feburary which is going to be covered (I made sure).
Anyway I plan on going to graduate school in Sept. and quit my job.
When I signed up for the account, they said I can use the whole thing right away (which I plan on doing so my monthly payments are cheaper)
Long story short, if I quit the job before the $1000 is deducted from my pay what happens? It would be in September, and the FS account goes to Dec (of next year) Would I just owe the remainder back to someone (it would be about $300?)

They told me to do something and agreed to pay me at my hourly rate. (I had been their employee.) They then reneged and refused to pay until I threatened to report them to the state. They then sent me the correct amount of money, but incorrectly listed it as a non-taxable expense reimbursement, rather than wages, and did not withhold taxes. Do I still report it on my 1040?

Bank of America agreed to pay me $100 within a certain number of days, if I opened an account. I opened the account. Had they paid the money on time, it would have been taxable (as interest). However, they did not pay it and wasted many hours of my time by having me repeatedly call on the telephone and listen to them give new dates that they also failed to meet. Eventually, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the bank posted a $100 credit to my account, which is listed in their records as a refund of fees. An actual refund of fees is not taxable (unless the fees were deducted on a prior year's return), but they never charged the fees for which this is a "refund". Is it taxable?

Ok. Person "A" is renting a house from person "B". Person "B" doesnt pay their mortgage and the house gets forclosed on. Person "A" has 3 years left on his lease (i know rediculously long lease). Does the bank kick that person out right after the forclosure? or does the bank simply collect the rent and kick them out when the lease is over?

Thanks for all your answeres for my last post, but none of them worked out for me. I did get few things from a local toy drive, but they were all smaller kid's toys nothing that age aporpriate for my 11 soon to be 12 year old girl. I did get her a doll and a hair straightenerfrom the drive, and I am thankfull for that.

What else am I going to do? Even if I could get $50.00 from somewhere. I don't even need that much. Anything to get her maybe one or two more things would be so wonderful.

Any sugestions or help? Maybe I will tell her we will go shopping after xmas in the new year, when I get payed again. Hopefully there will be some money left over then after rent and bills. Let me know of any ideas anyone can think of.

So I had an agreement verbally to pay 700/mo in rent. I said I would contribute towards utilities which the roomate said is about 100/month...

I paid 1400 in advance, after 2 months roomate said that I owe 700/mo for utilites... I said YEAH RIGHT and moved. I've lived on my own for years & have never gone over 100/mo when renting my own apartment!

So after taking off and telling him to keep the deposit he said he is going to charge me 20$/day until I pay him his 1400! So now he decides to make up some random number to charge??? lol. I never signed a contract so... and 20$ a day LOL thats 7200/yr in "late fees"

Well he said unless i give him 1400 + 20/day he will send me to a collection agency and sue me. I never had a contract & had i known he would try n pull some crap & charge 700/mo utilities for a room, i would have never moved in... not my fault he is in default and has over 200k in autoloans he can't afford.....Does he have a leg to stand on? He doesnt have my address or SSN.

What if you spent your whole life travelling, spending on trendy clothes, plastic surgery, living it up and just basically having a grand old time, and then you hit 70+ and you have nothing in ur bank account?

That's me right now at 26, and I'm a spendaholic.

Will we end up on the streets?

In that case, is suicide a better option?

Seriously though, when you think of all that life throws at you, medical stuff, life problems on top of it, yadda yadda, who wants to keep saving and saving and saving, to enjoy life when you're an old F*ck?

I say we live it up and just off ourselves once we're old lol.

But honestly, if you have no relatives or family or friends or anything like that, then you're basically f*cked right?

I'm 16 and today i went to work for my first day at my local supermarket. I got there at 6 in the morning before opening, and there was this girl there and she was stacking shelves. my line manager then told me to give her a hand. after a few minutes she said 'i have to go, you keep working this' that annoyed me alot as i was new. then a few minutes after she came round and told me to mop the aisle, so i said 'why don't you, it doesn't look like it needs it anyway'. then she goes 'do it.you really don't want to argue with me.' so i did that then she says 'now go and mop round the corner' i got annoyed so i said 'who says?' she says 'i do.' then i got really annoyed and said 'isn't it your job? then she goes 'i'm the ADM if you don't ******* stop answering back, i will throw you out of here personally'
and it turns out she is later she was in her suit walking around, shes like 23 though and looks younger, she got fastracked apparently. it was an easy mistake. how can i make amends?
