I am 61 years old and on dis. through Soc. Sec. As I will be turning 62 in Oct. of 2008 I was wondering if I could also collect my reg. soc. sec. No I am not greedy but do not want benefits slipping through.

My father was just recently in this same situation.

When you become eligible for regular SS, it will automatically take the place of the disability. the SSA knows exactly when your eligibility starts, and they will switch it over automatically.
