Thanks for all your answeres for my last post, but none of them worked out for me. I did get few things from a local toy drive, but they were all smaller kid's toys nothing that age aporpriate for my 11 soon to be 12 year old girl. I did get her a doll and a hair straightenerfrom the drive, and I am thankfull for that.

What else am I going to do? Even if I could get $50.00 from somewhere. I don't even need that much. Anything to get her maybe one or two more things would be so wonderful.

Any sugestions or help? Maybe I will tell her we will go shopping after xmas in the new year, when I get payed again. Hopefully there will be some money left over then after rent and bills. Let me know of any ideas anyone can think of.

Make a pretty certificate or card, good for one day shopping (at a date when you know you will have the money) put it in a big box, and wrap it, so she has something to open. This way, she will still have something to look forward to after the holidays are over. If you have a few dollars you can spare, you might want to try the dollar stores, they have many items that would be appropriate for an 11 year old also. But I think she would look forward to a special day shopping with her mom more.
