I have an interview for a job as a recreational coordinator but really dont have much experience in it -- it says they want me to:

"create and coordinate recreational activities program based on resident interests. (it also says) This position requires planning, organizing and implementing a total activities program for an upscale senior community. Event planning expertise preferred"

Does anyone have experience in this. DO you have any ideas about recreational programs?? I have basic ideas like bowling, movies, museum but I need more in depth information on what they may be reffering to when they say they want me to plan organize and implement. Please those who work in this type of field help! I will give 10 point to the best answer. I really need a good in depth answer. I know what the word plan, organize and implement mean but if some of you work in the field how did you go about doing this???

How can I tell someone politely to cash a check you wrote them three weeks ago? It' s messing me up with my finances and I can't plan anything accurately. With the Christmas shopping, it's cutting it close if they cash the check now. I don't want to overdraft.

I always hear how WalMart is very considerate in accommodating people with disabilities. I can't stand on my feet for long at all, but I'd like to work there. Those people who ride in those carts & are disabled & work there, what's their job title & description?

So, I have read some really negative about refinancing... My husband and I can pay our mortgage we just want to roll our credit cards into one low payment. We ended rolling some our credits cards into one low interest cc last year but not all of them. We are not sure what to really do.. is a home equity better? or do we refinance? does this hurt our credit scores? whats the negative and positive sides?
We don't have more than 10k worth of cc debit, we are just sick of paying different interest rates and want to try to save a little $$$.

I would love to hear your opinions and suggestions. :) thanks!

I have explained it to them that I have been unemployed for most of the year but they said the client is very impatient and wants to have a judgement. How does a judgement works and if you cannot pay it because what will happen will I get arrested or what? It seems that now the loans and credit companies are going after everyone now with the credit c risis

Please only serious answers from knowledgeable/experienced people.

I bought a brand new house almost a year ago and my best friend needed a place to stay so I let him have a room AND an extra room for his computer stuff and books and everything. Each room is not huge but he has 2 rooms nonetheless. Where I live he is paying probably about 25% less than what I could get on the room if I was renting to the general public.

He is very messy and I'm constantly cleaning the house and putting away things for him. He leaves food to rot in the fridge for weeks and I am constantly cleaning it and hounding him to help out. Just recently I went on a business trip and when I cam back I did not see him for 2 weeks. Then he sends me an email saying that he wants a discount on this months rent because he 'hasn't been living at the house' and that he was living at his girlfriends. I think this is unreasonable b/c I could be renting to someone else. What should I say? What are your opinions?

My friend loaned me a total of about $13k over the past 2 years. We have nothing in writing; just a verbal contract that I would pay him back when I was able to. Well I am going to be able to very soon due to the sale of some property. Can I just write him a check for the amount I owe him and forget about it? Or is there some sort of paperwork I must complete for taxes?
Thank you for your help.

Any ideas?

We have always raised beef cattle on this multi-generation 20+ acre farm operation. We have been here so long that the city has grown to include us within the city limits. We enjoy our quiet piece of the country and raising cattle but the prices of feed, seed, fertilizer, diesel etc. is close to driving us out of the business. What can we do to make it more profitable and still lead our quiet lives? It can be something to do with the cattle or something not too drastic. My Dad has always worked this land and even thou, he's getting older and finding it harder to do the things he's use to, I don't want to shock his system with too much change. Thanks

I have the copy of the check that I got from work that I cashed in at one of those 24hour Vegas check cashing places -- which I completely lost every cent of.

I made a journal note in my records -- is that good enough? I lost 2K spread over 3 days.

Cheers!

what are the penalties for making mistakes - i.e., reporting numbers in the wrong place thereby changing AGI (for example)?

I just don't want to go to jail for making honest mistakes.

What types of mistakes would land someone in prison? I know the obvious - such as reporting $45K income when the IRS gets reports of $150K - but I was wondering if mistakes in my stock trades data will get me in trouble since it is pretty complicated to fill out for stock trades.

Cheers!

My sister was hired on a permanent contract by a company on the condition that the first 6 months would be the "probationary period". Last week, on the last day of the probationary period, she was called to a meeting by her boss, and abruptly told that her contract would be terminated because she had made too many mistakes, but mainly because she was disliked by her colleagues, and did not fit in. Although she acknowledges that she made a few mistakes in the beginning, her line manager had said this was ok because she was new to her job. What is most confusing is being fired because of being disliked by colleagues. My sister always said her boss (female) hated her from the beginning, but she always thought she got on well with people in her dept. She was too upset in the meeting to question her boss, but what she and I are wondering now is, is being disliked by colleagues a valid reason to terminate an employee's contract, and doesnt the company need evidence? Thanks for any advice
