Hi, I am willing to put about $400 in a savings account each month. I know, its not much, but it's all I can spare at the moment. I researched a WaMu savings account and It costs $4 a month to maintain with no minimum required. Is this my best bet? If not, which bank should I turn to? Also, which bank would give me the best APY?

Bought property in a new orleans tax sale. I am in doubt as to my legal rights to collect rent from the current tenants , as well as how to serve notice that I must receive said rent. May I make renovations under these terms on an occupied residence.

from the landlord's permission, I find another roommate, we were to continue pay the old rent until end of November, and new lease plus new rent start 12/2007, then during the end of November the landlord gave us a 30 day notice to vacate dealine is 12/31/07(becaue we have rent deposit)saying we don't have a lease,eventhough our agreement was not in writing in the beginning, can we fight with landlord on that?

I recieved a phone call from someone who said they saw my name in the local newspaper for my house going up for Sherrif's Auction. I am 4 months late with my taxes and the money due is $622 I pay every 6 months). I moved at the time when taxes were due to another state, and it slipt my mind. I have recieved no information about this sale. Yes I did leave a forwarding address. My question is how can that be????I could understand if it was years worth or even thousands but $622?????? I originally thought that maybe a letter went to my home about back taxes and my nosey neighbors opened my mail. I am sick to my stomach worried, and cant do anything till morning anyway. If this really was in paper, am I really going to lose the house?

We have been trying to buy a house for the past few months (but I found out these guys ((loan officer & mortgage guy)) were crooks,& reported them to the Better Business Bureau,they made us drop the complaint (I also wonder if this was because of that complaint,even if it was closed)and now,we'd just about decided to just rent the house,& the owner agreed,when suddenly we got the closing date. What should we do? It's almost funny!
I still don't trust those guys,especially since only the co-signer's name is on the paper(s) and not me or my husband's.
Please,OPINIONS..

I made some bad credit card decisions when I was younger and I've been paying for it for quite some time now. I'm going to college full time, about to graduate, and working 20-30 hours/week. The money I earn is barley enough to cover my monthly payments. The rate I'm going with interest and all, it will take me a while to pay this off. Here is the deal, I am 37 and never started investing until a few months ago with the new job I started here in Vegas with MGM, they match 50% and I am only contributing 4% of my $25,000 salary. I first signed up with a (Conservative Allocation Fund MACJX) but after talking with a few people I changed it to the (Aggressive Allocation Fund MAALX)...I guess it is a large growth pre-mixed selection of mutual funds, just not sure if I made the wise choice? Any help would be appreciated!!
